[Bug 934062] Re: "Keyboard Shortcuts" overlay can cause annoyance
After installing recent updates it works better, but still not perfect. If ctrl is pressed and held first, then super, then up/down, it works as expected without showing the overlay or the dash. However, if super is pressed first both the dash and overlay is shown, but at least now they disappear when super is released. This results in (at least for me) the dash+overlay still being displayed about half the time I use any of the "new" ctrl+super shortcuts, as I tend to press all keys simultaneously. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/934062 Title: "Keyboard Shortcuts" overlay can cause annoyance To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ayatana-design/+bug/934062/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

As well as opening multiple tabs in Chrome and Nautilus (when searching for 'tab') I've also seen it executing different commands, for example: 1. open gedit 2. press 'alt' to open HUD 3. type 'pref' 4. use key down to select 'Edit > Preferences' and press 'Enter' This opens the 'Preferences' dialog as well as 'Print Preview' (which is the first choice I get for 'pref' in the HUD). [Bug 1102965] [NEW] Maximize window goes to wrong monitor
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 751605 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/751605 Public bug reported: I have a laptop with an external monitor which is. The external monitor resolution is 2048x1152 and the laptop monitor is 1366x768. Often when I maximize a window on the laptop monitor it is maximized on the external monitor instead. To reproduce this: 1. Dual monitor setup with one monitor with a smaller resolution 2. Open a window on the small monitor 3. Resize the window so that it's height is greater than the monitor height (i.e. you can't see the whole window) 4. Select maximize window (either by pressing maximize in window toolbar or drag to the top) 5. Notice that the window is moved to the large monitor and maximized To prevent this from happening when moving a window from the large screen to the small screen resize the window first to be fit inside the small screen. Now the window is maximized on the smaller screen as expected. Another way to observe this behaviour is to drag a small unmaximized window (one that fits fully on the smaller monitor) from the large monitor onto the top of the small monitor. This window is now maximized on the smaller monitor. However, if the window on the large monitor is made to big to fit on the small monitor prior to dragging it to the top of the small monitor it is maximized on the large monitor. ** Affects: compiz-plugins-main (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1102965 Title: Maximize window goes to wrong monitor To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/compiz-plugins-main/+bug/1102965/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 967266] Re: window manager - Nvidia twinview fullscreening window on secondary monitor moves window to primary monitor
This happens to me with any application when maximizing. It also happens when using ctrl+super+up/down/left/right and when using ctrl+alt+num.
