[Bug 1669734] Re: Quality decrease in libgd3 with upgrade to 2.1.1-4ubuntu0.16.04.5

2017-06-11 Thread Roc
I had the same issue when using imagecopyresampled() to resize PNG
images with transparent background. It introduced subtle noise to the
transparent background in the resulting image. It looks like some kind
of rounding issue within the resampling algorithm.

As a temporary workaround, reverting libgd back to 2.1.1-4build2
resolves the problem.

[Bug 1773497] [NEW] libreoffice fails when launched with no_new_privs

2018-05-26 Thread Roc-ocallahan
Public bug reported:

If you exec libreoffice with no_new_privs (e.g. by running it under rr,
https://rr-project.org/), the launch fails. It tries to exec
/usr/lib/libreoffice/program/javaldx, but the exec returns EPERM because
AppArmor has libreoffice in the libreoffice-oopslash profile, while
/usr/lib/libreoffice/program/javaldx is unconfined, and transitioning to
unconfined is not allowed with no_new_privs *even though the
libreoffice-oopslash profile is only in complain mode*. (See
profile_onexec in security/apparmor/domain.c... not clear whether
enforcing this in complain mode is an AppArmor bug or not.)

Maybe this could be fixed by putting
/usr/lib/libreoffice/program/javaldx in the same confinement profile as
libreoffice-oopslash?

interesting in troubleshooting this problem with Sabayon. It fixed the
problem for me. I noticed that the resolution was set to 800x600 on the
server which seemed low to me, so I bumped it up to 1024x768 and the
Sabayon problem went away. Before, I would create a profile and when I
clicked on the edit button Sabayon would crash. Now after bumping up the
resolution, when I create a profile and click on edit...the virtual
desktop of the profile loads just fine. i figured this out because I
had another server running the exact same version of Sabayon and Ubuntu
and everything worked just fine.

[Bug 150068] Re: Sabayon editor crashes when trying to make a change in a profile

2014-01-23 Thread ROC Texas
I know this is a really old thread, but I thought I would throw this out
there. Hopefully this will help someone.

I am running Ubuntu 10.04 (a basic install) I discovered something
interesting in troubleshooting this problem with Sabayon.
I figured this out because I had
another server running the exact same version of Sabayon and Ubuntu and
everything worked just fine.

How does this change the default format to PDF? Don't you need to change
nsDeviceContextSpecGTK::GetPrintMethod as well?

Remove the last two lines of this comment, since they're confusing; it
sounds like you're describing something that actually happens with this
patch applied.

This should be scrollableFrame->GetScrollPortRect() + curentScrollPos,
right?

(In reply to comment #29)
> This is same as my original code only when GetScrollPortRect() is positioned

It's usually true, but not always. Sometimes we have scrollbars on the
left so the scrollport x is > 0. Also, when the scrolled element has a
left border, the scrollport x is > 0.

+  nscoord oneDevPixel = presContext->DevPixelsToAppUnits(1);
+  nsPoint offsetPoint = aPoint - nsPoint(oneDevPixel * 20, oneDevPixel * 20);
+  nsSize rectSize = nsSize(oneDevPixel * 40, oneDevPixel * 40);
   PRBool didScroll = presContext->PresShell()->
+ScrollFrameRectIntoView(aFrame, nsRect(offsetPoint, rectSize),

Why not
  nsRect r = nsIntRect(-20, -20, 40, 40).
ToAppUnits(presContext->AppUnitsPerDevPixel());
  PRBool didScroll = presContext->PresShell()->
ScrollFrameRectIntoView(aFrame, r + aPoint);

Sure looks simpler to me!
