Hi Brian,
Unfortunately, due to other problems (HAL update made my network adapters
disappeared) I uninstalled Ubuntu. I plan to re-install it soon. But I can
say that I used the OO and all other software that was on the original
installation CD. I also installed all updates as they were appearing.
