[Bug 219967] [NEW] system doesn't shutdown properly
Public bug reported: when the system is shutting down, you get the ubuntu splash screen and after that you get this message: ata4.01: revalidation failed (errno= -5) I am using Ubuntu Hardy Heron RC, i haven't had this problem with ubuntu Gutsy Gibbon and my system setup hasn't changed. Here is a log of " grep ata4 /var/log/messages " the problem also can be my second disk, i can hardly read something on this disk. Late to thisbut on 14.04 Studio I get hangs from all NVIDIA drivers for my Nvidia Quadro 4000 - even the latest. I don't get this with the Nouveau driver...but the resolution is 800x600 with that. I am commenting because I am wondering if the issue is heatvariable crashes at different times doing different thingsbut more common when viewing videos ie. when more GPU heat. GPU here was running 80-87 degC - despite many fans in the case...even when not doing much. Vacuuming the fan on the video card and all the case fans has it running around 49-60 degC (watching videos).
