I appended the following line to "/et/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf" and rebooted: options snd-hda-intel model=ref Now Amarok works fine but I'm not getting any sound from flash (youtube on firefox). I killed both Amarok and Firefox, then started Firefox first. I got sound from flash and amarok.
