[Bug 172353] Re: Non-translatable emblem names.
Ok, I think that Maurizio and I probably found out where the bug is. 1) emblems translated strings are in gnome-icon-theme. 2) with human-icon-theme these strings remain untranslated. 3) installing tango-icon-theme, strings are correctly translated indipendently from which set of icons is selected, and emblem icons are the tango one. so, probably human-icon-theme doesn't point to gnome-icon-theme strings correctly. Sorry, the upstream bug was closed because it's a problem of applications not supporting v4l2 yet. On the other hand it could be fixed introducing a sort of external GSPCA as it was in Hardy, waiting for applications like cheese, camorama etc. implementing v4l2 (avoiding the regression). ** Changed in: linux Importance: Unknown => Undecided ** Changed in: linux Status: Unknown => New ** Changed in: linux Remote watch: Linux Kernel Bug Tracker #11741 => None ** Changed in: linux Importance: Undecided => Unknown ** Changed in: linux Status: New => Unknown ** Changed in: linux Remote watch: None => Linux Kernel Bug Tracker #11741 ** Changed in: linux Importance: Unknown => Undecided ** Changed in: linux Status: Unknown => New ** Changed in: linux Remote watch: Linux Kernel Bug Tracker #11741 => None ** Changed in: linux Status: New => Invalid ** Summary changed: - webcam and v4l2 + Logitech webcam doesn't work (v4l2 support needed) ** Also affects: cheese (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Also affects: camorama (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Logitech webcam doesn't work (v4l2 support needed) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/352765 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
