[Bug 1184262] Re: times out too early, stuck in PrepareForSleep, causing network and other services to not resume

2014-03-21 Thread Sergei Solo
In latest version of Ubuntu 14.04 this bug not fixed!
I can't enable wireless networking after my laptop resumed from suspend.

p.s. suspend turning with some errors too:
1) It take more time (in Ubuntu 12.04 laptop suspend faster)
2) before display turns off and laptop become full suspended - I see Ubuntu
lock screen and hear Ubuntu notice sound.

[Bug 1288241] Re: gnome-screensaver is running twice and prompts twice to unlock

2014-03-21 Thread Sergei Solo
This bug affects me too! (see more details
https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1295673)

And I think it associated with
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/systemd-shim/+bug/1184262
Becouse:

When laptop suspending, before display turns off and laptop become fully
suspended - I see Default Ubuntu lock screen and hear Ubuntu notice
sound.

May be somewhere added second lock screen call. Becouse it seems like
lock screen calls before suspend and after wake up...

4-5 seconds I see ordinary desktop and folders.

Second lock screen process name (Gnome Lock screen) is "gnome-

[Bug 733349] Re: Minimize Application's Windows upon clicking its Launcher Icon

I fully agree with the majority. Especially since this action has not
been assigned any function.

And this is an open source project?
Where is the openness to the devil? Direct dictatorship!

Members say that they need, but the developers do what they think users
need. Why is this so?

[Bug 821944] [NEW] Unity. Doesn't work minimizing window by clicking on icon of active application

2011-08-06 Thread Sergei Solo
Public bug reported:

Hello!

I was sure that you did not have time to finish winding up the windows
when you click on the icon on the toolbar Unity in version 11.04, but
testing the 11.10 Alpha 3, I realized that you have omitted this point
at all!

Implement minimizing windows when you click on the icon of the active
application, please! Otherwise, I'll have to use something else instead
Unity again.

** Affects: ubuntu
 Importance: Undecided
 Status: New

"Can you present any evidence to show that a significant number of users (or
even *any* other users) want this behavior?"
I try, I think many of the Russian community of Ubuntu will support me.

"Clicking a running application's icon in the launcher brings all its windows
to the foreground."
Apparently I did not put it quite clearly.

If you open multiple windows of one application and clicking a that
application's icon in the launcher brings all its windows to the foreground -
it is OK!
But if you run only one application window, after clicking a that application's
icon nothing happens! And it will be perfect if that window will minimize by
left mouse clicking! That's what I mean.

"The only situation where nothing happens is if it is already the foreground
window."
Exactly!

If you add the ability to minimize such windows by clicking on the icon
- it would be very easy to switch between applications (unless they are
deployed on the entire screen)!

Of cause, you have described this!
"Clicking a foreground application's icon in the launcher is currently an
excellent way to find out if there are other windows associated with that same
application. With the change proposed here, the user would have to click it
(finding out it's the only one, because it the window disappears), and then
click it again to make the window reappear."
