[Bug 814377] [NEW] Please clear dependency_libs entry from .la files
Public bug reported: To comply with Policy 10.2 and to ease the introduction of MultiArch, packages which contain .la files which need to be stripped of the dependency_libs variable. Packages should *NOT* remove the .la file itself at this stage because other packages still expect to find the .la file and this would cause a FTBFS in that package. [Bug 181372] Re: Please update mplinuxman to 1.5 version
Daniel, you are right about both comments. I have made a mistake when modifying the makefile for this package. Even though I have built the package, i did not check what the package installed. I will have to be much more careful in the future about testing packages, to avoid this huge errors. Let me make the necessary changes, and i will re-submit this patch. [Bug 663309] Re: gedit crashed with SIGSEGV in gtk_text_iter_set_offset() when editing a GPX-file
Just a newbie question, looking at the upstream bug, it says that this issue is caused by a bug in gtksourceview, and not in this application. Shouldn't the bug report be submitted in the aforementioned library, instead of gedit ? Sorry if I am totally wrong, just trying to understand what the right way to proceed is in this case. [Bug 250540] Re: gedit cannot save to sftp location
Looking at the upstream bug, it appears that this is really a bug in package gvfs. Looking at the change made upstream on that package, and comparing with the package gvfs that was released with natty, it appears that this change has already been made. Beside that, I repeat the steps outlined to reproduce the bug, and gedit no longer have this problem, it allows me to save files in directories owned by root, and also when the owner of the file is another user. But should be done to close this bug? Can anyone confirm if it has been fixed. [Bug 181372] Re: Please update mplinuxman to 1.5 version
Hi, I have made the abovementioned changes to the package, and yet i am having problems buildind the package in oneiric under gcc-4.6. This issue is related to (LP: #770855). In the meantime, i have put together a PPA package for natty, that does build correctly. If anyone need to use it, i give you the ppa source: http://ppa.launchpad.net/scarneiro/ppa/ubuntu When i can solve the issue i am having, i will upload the patch. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/181372 Title: Please update mplinuxman to 1.5 version -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
