Public bug reported:
I recently installed Ubuntu 11.10, and after the unevitable post-
installation update row, Nautilus stopped working.
I did a little test and this was the result:
input in the command line:
echo "Disk space check:";df -h;echo "Nautilus Startup";nautilus;echo "Exit
error code: $?"
This is the result:
Disk space check:

/dev/sda1 110G 4.1G 100G 4% /
udev 486M 4.0K 486M 1% /dev

none 5.0M 0 5.0M 0% /run/lock

Nautilus Startup
Bus error
Exit error code: 135
Furthermore, I did a gdb run for nautilus:
gdb nautilus
run
It outputs this:
Starting program: /usr/bin/nautilus
[Thread debugging using libthread_db enabled]
[New Thread 0xb7d7cb70 (LWP 9609)]
[New Thread 0xb73ffb70 (LWP 9610)]

Program received signal SIGBUS, Bus error.

I hope this can help anyone solving this major problem.
Thanks in advance!
