[Bug 438507] Re: [HP-Pavilion NP218AA-ABA p6142p] suspend/resume failure [non-free: nvidia]

2010-03-01 Thread RZ
Hi Pepe,

Thank you for responding. I had forgotten about this bug a while back,
since it had stopped appearing. To date, I have not had another instance
of the apport warning nor any problems with suspend or hibernation.

As such, I'm marking this problem as "Fix Released". If anyone else has
this problem, please reopen it.

[Bug 410267] Re: Pressure sensitive tablet: stylus paints off-cursor in Gimp and Inkscape

2009-09-19 Thread RZ
I can confirm that GIMP paints inside the circle with an up-to-date
Karmic and Wacom Driver 0.8.4-2. However, the circle in the paintbrush
tool (and any other tool with the circle) is off-cursor for me.

[Bug 438507] [NEW] [HP-Pavilion NP218AA-ABA p6142p] suspend/resume failure [non-free: nvidia]

2009-09-28 Thread RZ
Public bug reported:

When I put my computer on suspend or hibernate, the screen starts to
fade black like it should but then if I wait for a couple minutes and
try to wake it up, it's as if I only locked the screen. If I then try to
log out, Ubuntu logs me out but the login screen does not show, only the
background image. After that, I've had to do a hard reset.

OS: Karmic Alpha 6

Also, with my hardware, neither suspend nor hibernate worked in Jaunty.
It's not exactly the same problem, but both functions always crashed my
system.

ProblemType: KernelOops
Annotation: This occured during a previous suspend and prevented it from
resuming properly.

the bug anymore, so I am going to mark it as Fix Released as I am sure
it was occuring before. But thanks for taking the time to look at this
bug, Paul.

[Bug 1840889] [NEW] Black Screen on 18.04 + Intel Graphics with Kernel > 4.15.0-47

2019-08-21 Thread rz
Public bug reported:

Hi,

we've been running 18.04 (w/ Xubuntu) + 4.15.0-47 kernel for a while now
(on Minix Z83-4 devices w/ Intel X5-Z8350 CPUs), which is working fine.

After upgrading the kernel to a newer version (> 4.15.0-47), HDMI output
is not available anymore, i915 reports an invalid EDID version via dmesg
I dropped the full dmesg output on Pastebin:
https://pastebin.com/jXTqAzkQ

As a start I'm blaming the Linux kernel since booting 4.15.0-47 kernel
works just fine.

Known faulty kernel versions are:

- 4.15.0-58-generic
- 4.15.0-59-generic
- 5.0.0-25-generic

Not sure how to best collect logs and system information for you since
I'm not used to debugging black screens. However, SSH access is
possible. I am happy to provide more information, if needed. We can also
install and test experimental kernel versions.

Note: This happens then attached via a standard HDMI cable as well as
with a HDMI-DVI cable on different monitor setups.

[Bug 1840889] Re: Black Screen on 18.04 + Intel Graphics with Kernel > 4.15.0-47

2019-08-26 Thread rz
apport information

** Description changed:

  Hi,

  we've been running 18.04 (w/ Xubuntu) + 4.15.0-47 kernel for a while now
(on Minix Z83-4 devices w/ Intel X5-Z8350 CPUs), which is working fine.

Note: This happens then attached via a standard HDMI cable as well as with a
HDMI-DVI cable on different monitor setups.

[Bug 1531864] Re: HTTP/2 disabled in Apache httpd

2018-01-26 Thread rz
Guys, we are in 2018. As CPUs dropped performance, we need to enable
intelligent protocolls widely ;)

Are there any real reason for not adding http2 in Ubuntu?

Apache tells us, that the http2 feature is **not** experimental any
more. We do not want to rely on some 3rd party PPAs or building apache2
from scratch or perform some wired workaround with module copying.

Any plans for adding this in the near future?
