When under heavy CPU load, my keys can get "stuck" on a key and repeats
indefinitely until I'm forced to restart the computer. It's not a hardware

"Repeat Keys" in System->Preferences->Keyboard, it still happens.

[Bug 658072] [NEW] Keyboard keys repeat when under heavy CPU load

2010-10-10 Thread Qiyam Tung
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: xorg

When under heavy CPU load, my keys can get "stuck" on a key and repeats
indefinitely until I'm forced to restart the computer. It's not a hardware
problem as I dual boot Windows and it never happens there. Even if I disable
"Repeat Keys" in System->Preferences->Keyboard, it still happens.
This has happened for me since 10.04. There were similar reports for previous
versions of Ubuntu, but it seems that the bug has re-emerged.
