[Bug 573488] Re: Gwibber will not display twitter stream

2010-05-03 Thread Peter Mount
I don't get the ERROR shown above, but I do get the same errors up to
and including the Updating... lines.

This is on a NetBook running 10.04. No twitter stream but all @replies &
direct messages appear.

[Bug 439382] Re: Provide support for bit.ly

2010-05-11 Thread Peter Mount
Having just got gwibber working (different issue) it would be nice to
get bit.ly working via a bit.ly account.

For me I've been using a bitly.pro beta account for a couple of months
now using a custom domain, so using it via the API key would be pretty
useful.

[Bug 573488] Re: Gwibber will not display twitter stream

2010-05-11 Thread Peter Mount
@Ed S - just noticed your response.

For me I've got Gwibber working. It appears (from my side of things) to
be dns related. If I try to use it with my home dns server then gwibber
has the problems above.

However if I open a VPN to work (and therefore use the works DNS server)
then Gwibber runs perfectly.

I'm going to look into what's going wrong with the local dns to figure
out what the differences are.
