[Bug 1440210] Re: KWin crashes multiple times a day and often has to be restarted manually.

2017-05-16 Thread Peter Chervenski
Yeah I also experience this several times a day, on Kubuntu 16.04. I
thought it's something wrong with the GPU, but apparently this isn't the
case.

[Bug 1193522] Re: nautilus crashed with SIGSEGV in gtk_action_get_name()

2013-10-18 Thread Peter Chervenski
I upgraded my Ubuntu 13.04 installation to 13.10 and Nautilus always
crashes since then. When I run it from terminal, it just says "Bus error
(core dumped)".

[Bug 1218322] Re: Can't set keyboard layout change to alt+shift, ctrl+shift, etc.

2013-10-18 Thread Peter Chervenski
Super+Space works for me (but not every time), and I can't set my
default Ctrl+Shift keys for switching between layouts. Instead it
becomes disabled, like it didn't recognize the keys. I use 13.10
(upgraded from 13.04).

[Bug 1218322] Re: Can't set keyboard layout change to alt+shift, ctrl+shift, etc.

2013-10-31 Thread Peter Chervenski
The fix didn't work for me. I still can't set Control-Shift to switch
between layouts. I can use Alt-X or Control-X, but not Control-Shift. It
stays "Disabled".

I installed the latest updates, but the problem remains - I still can't
use Control+Shift to switch between layouts. It's always "Disabled".

[Bug 1018250] [NEW] X freezes upon laptop lid closing/opening

2012-06-26 Thread Peter Chervenski
Public bug reported:

I have an ASUS X52JC laptop. I've set my Ubuntu 12.04 LTS installation
to blank the screen, when I close the laptop lid and the laptop is
plugged in to AC power. When I open the lid, it is either a grey screen
(kind of mozaic appearence) or the screen as it is supposed to be, but
inresponsive. The mouse moves, but the system doesn't respond to clicks.
The only solution is to reboot the computer. Ctrl-Alt-F1 does work,
however. Suspend and hibernate modes also work, the problem is only in
the "blank screen" mode.
