red X, not sure if related, but both started after the same upgrade.

[Bug 1078386] Re: unattended-upgrades would benefit from an apport package hook

2014-04-07 Thread Nicolas Valcarcel
When changing the hook used on the logs i get this:

== .var.log.unattended.upgrades.unattended.upgrades
=
Error: [Errno 2] No such file or directory:
'/var/log/unattended-upgrades/unattended-upgrades'

That's why i used attach_if_exists

Also, using attach_conffiles i'm getting this:

[Bug 872320] [NEW] Playback problem

2011-10-11 Thread Nicolas Valcarcel
Public bug reported:

Since friday (Oct 7th) the media playback got broken, every time i play
music or a video (youtube aswell) it jumps a couple of seconds at a time
and produces no sound (for example: it starts at 0:00 then goes to 0:04
then to 0:15 and so on). Mumble doesn't work either.

[Bug 1018122] [NEW] sudo hp-setup breaks gpg

2012-06-26 Thread Nicolas Valcarcel
Public bug reported:

runned sudo hp-setup, configured network all-in-one printer/scanner,
installed the drivers that it asked to install and end up getting an
error doing "gpg --list-keys" and mutt failing to sign emails. After
some digging found out that pubring.gpg and pubring.gpg~ on ~/.gnupg/
had root.root owner.

btw, if i shouldn't run that with sudo there is a documentation bug
here: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/ScanningHowTo#LAN-based_scanners

[Bug 872320] Re: [Studio 1458, ALC665] Audio skipping / eternal rewinds

2011-11-11 Thread Nicolas Valcarcel
i don't have HDMI cable or anything, i see and HDMI port on my laptop,
but never plugged anything to it, so what i'm doing is playing music
without anything other than the power cable connected to the computer,
unless the internal speakers are connected to the sound card via HDMI
internally i really doubt i'm using HDMI at all

[Bug 704595] Re: Python-apt shows emply origins object

2011-01-20 Thread Nicolas Valcarcel
Ok, seem to get the problem:

nxvl [~]
Sylvester$ apt-get -o Dir=/tmp/apt-test/ update
[...]
W: GPG error: http://archive.canonical.com maverick Release: No keyring
installed in /tmp/apt-test/etc/apt/trusted.gpg.d/.
W: GPG error: http://security.ubuntu.com maverick-security Release: No keyring
installed in /tmp/apt-test/etc/apt/trusted.gpg.d/.
W: GPG error: http://extras.ubuntu.com maverick Release: No keyring installed
in /tmp/apt-test/etc/apt/trusted.gpg.d/.
W: GPG error: http://archive.ubuntu.com maverick Release: No keyring installed
in /tmp/apt-test/etc/apt/trusted.gpg.d/.
W: GPG error: http://archive.ubuntu.com maverick-updates Release: No keyring
installed in /tmp/apt-test/etc/apt/trusted.gpg.d/.
W: GPG error: http://archive.ubuntu.com maverick-backports Release: No keyring
installed in /tmp/apt-test/etc/apt/trusted.gpg.d/.
W: GPG error: http://archive.ubuntu.com maverick-proposed Release: No keyring
installed in /tmp/apt-test/etc/apt/trusted.gpg.d/.

Shouldn't apt try to use the system keyring here? Or at least create
"/tmp/apt-test/etc/apt/trusted.gpg.d/."?
