[Bug 1796374] Re: locking session turns off external monitor

2019-04-17 Thread Mikhail A
I can confirm this happens for me.
I did try to activate external monitor via xrandr, lxrandr and monitor setting
app.

It looks like when light-locker activates, it starts new Xorg instance,
and that new instance is using default monitor config: internal only, no
external ones.

[Bug 1314848] [NEW] not possible to create connection with no IP addresses

2014-04-30 Thread Mikhail A
Public bug reported:

It does not seem to be possible to create network connections with no IP
addresses., for example for passive monitoring of existing link.

To reproduce:
(1) In nm-connection-editor, create a new connection of type 'Ethernet'.
(2) In "IPv4 settings", set Method to "Disabled"
(3) In "IPv6 settings", set Method to "Ignore".
(4) Hit "Save"
(5) Click on newly-created connection and hit "Edit". Look at the IPv6 tab

What I expected to happen:
The Method is set to Ignore.

What happened instead:
The Method is set to Automatic.

Follow up:
(6) set Method to "Ignore"
(7) Hit "Save". Observe error message: The property 'NMSettingIP6Config' /
'method' is invalid: 1
(8) Try to repeat same operation with kde-nm-connection-editor. This editor
will silently ignore any errors which disable both connections.
