Almost, but if I set my time zone to London, it gets set to Guernsey.

[Bug 178391] Re: gspca driver locking up with Logitec Quickcam for Notebooks

2008-06-01 Thread Mark Fraser
Not sure if this is the same bug, but I'm having problems with kernel
2.6.24-17-generic and a Quickcam express plus which lsusb identifies as

ID 046d:092f Logitech, Inc. QuickCam express Plus

Doing a dmesg shows that at 3 points during boot:
/build/buildd/linux-ubuntu-modules-2.6.24-2.6.24/debian/build/build-generic/media/gspcav1/gspca_core.c:
 init isoc: usb_submit_urb(0) ret -28

Also, motion is very jerky in Kopete and Camstream doesn't show anything
apart from an initial image when I start it up.

I had no trouble with this webcam in Kubuntu 7.10.

[Bug 236806] [NEW] Black template preview with KMediaFactory

2008-06-02 Thread Mark Fraser
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: kmediafactory

Using Kubuntu 8.04, if I try to create a DVD menu in KMediaFactory 0.5.2
I get a black preview area with just the word 'chapters' visible. This

issues.

I'm also getting this with lspci:

I have change the /etc/network/interfaces file as above, but I still

Have tried using Knetworkmanager, but that doesn't seem to connect

[Bug 569699] Re: Unable to play/edit any files

2010-04-25 Thread Mark Fraser
MP3s now work. Looks like it needed some more gstreamer plugins in order to
work in Kubuntu. This is what I have installed now:
gstreamer0.10-alsa
gstreamer0.10-ffmpeg
gstreamer0.10-plugins-bad
gstreamer0.10-plugins-bad-multiverse
gstreamer0.10-plugins-base
gstreamer0.10-plugins-good
gstreamer0.10-plugins-ugly
gstreamer0.10-plugins-ugly-multiverse
gstreamer0.10-x
libgstreamer-plugins-base0.10-0
libgstreamer0.10-0

Could these be added to mp3splt-gtk's list of dependencies?

[Bug 461115] Re: indicator session applet missing after upgrade to Karmic with UNR

2009-10-28 Thread Mark Fraser
When I upgraded mine, both indicator-applet (looks like an envelope) and
indicator-applet-session (to log-out) were missing from the panel. I
tried to add them manually, but the colours were inverted, dark on light
instead of light on dark.

[Bug 269253] Re: ath5k with AR5424 fails at startup or resume

2009-09-28 Thread Mark Fraser
I have 3 Toshiba NB100-11R which have an Atheros AR242x wireless card. I
can't remember having problems connecting with 2 of them, but with the
3rd one I just bought it occasionally have problems connecting. Doing
dmesg produces the same output as the above responses.

Not sure if this is the same bug as what I'm experiencing, but it seems
to be every other boot where I can't get any further than the xplash
screen and have to power down and reboot. This is with 0.8.1-0ubuntu2.

In my case /etc/cups/cupsd.conf was empty, but I haven't noticed it
before and /etc/cups/cupsd.conf.O wasn't empty.
