Public bug reported: When I use the Storage link under the system setting app I find that the defaut ordering of the Storage types is neither by name or by size. Further, if you select the drop down "By Name" and Choose "By Size", then header changes to "By Size" but the actual ordering remains as "By Name". Finally, (and this is very small) but GB, and MB are both uppercase, but kB has a lower case 'K'. Shd fix this to be consistent. When I click to remove an app in Software Center, the app data (200mb in the case of Vendetta) is left on my computer for days until apt clears the cache. If a user wanted to clear space on their machine and was uninstalling applications for the purpose of clearing space, this would be very frustrating. Public bug reported: Sometimes when changing the orientation of the phone while editing text in an app the on screen keyboard shows up against the side facing the wrong way. TEST CASE 1. load any app that allows you to change the orientation of the app while editing text (ie. the browser, terminal, etc) 2. start editing the text and ensure the keyboard is on the screen in the correct position 3. slide your finger from the top of the keyboard border to dismiss the keyboard - the keyboard should disappear from the screen 4. change the orientation of the phone and engage the text editing feature - the keyboard should reappear in the new orientation mode After step 4 what you will see is the keyboard appears to the side as if the orientation of the phone had not changed. This phone has seen continuous use/upgrades without flashing for a little less than a month. The phone contains a few hundred contacts synced and sizable back log of text messages & phone calls. The issue can be reproduced on this device even after a fresh reboot. Public bug reported: Device / revision: Mako / r140 1. Ensure 4-digit passcode is set (not sure if this is a necessary pre-requisite, but it's how my phone is configured) 2. Log into the phone and open the messaging app and then the phone app 3. Lock the phone 4. The following steps must be performed moderately quickly: A) Click on the power button to light up the phone B) WIthout unlocking the phone, swipe the indicator from the top, slide all the way left to notification C) With notifications still open, swipe the launcher from the left and click on the messaging app Actual result: The launcher leaves margin on the left hand side of the page which persists after logging in and using using the app. Other times the phone freezes requiring a hard reboot. Hey I use MetroPCS and this affected me, here's the isntructions I used from Tony to workaround this and eventually get 3G working. " this broke after our first utopic landing for 14.10 which switched the provisioning db used to configure the phone from an ubuntu-source db to an android-based db. unfortunely, we failed to notice that t-mobile had upgraded all the apns to IPv6. ;(- i believe an easy workaround is to modify your context so that it has "ip" instead of "ipv6". i've attached an updated gprs settings file for you adb into the phone and as root run this command: # stop ofono exit out of adb, and push the attached gprs file onto the phone: % adb push gprs /var/lib/ofono/ where is your SubscriberIdentity. If you've only used one SIM card in the device, there should be only one directory in /var/lib/ofono ( note, ignore any of the directory with a -[1-9] suffix ). if you're still unsure about SubscriberIdentity, you can find it by running the following command on the device, as root: # /usr/share/ofono/scripts | grep SubscriberIdentity after pushing the new gprs settings file, reboot the device: $ adb shell reboot this should get you working internet. either way, can you please add a comment to the bug if your provider is indeed t-mobile? also, this may not give you working mms ( receive-only ). if you want to test, we may need to do some more manaul configuration, hopefully the ui to do all of this will be landing soon.
