[Bug 1288747] Re: [334] Parts of the UI randomly flicker when moving the mouse
Commenting here to keep this bug alive, as it is incredibly frustrating. This happens to me with driver version >331.67. FWIW, I'm using a GTX770. Looks like the mutter bug (https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=728464) is almost fixed and the patches are pretty close to being accepted. ** Bug watch added: GNOME Bug Tracker #728464 https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=728464 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1288747 Title: [334] Parts of the UI randomly flicker when moving the mouse To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/compiz/+bug/1288747/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1072206] Re: [nvidia] Window content is black or transparent
Commenting here to keep this bug alive... Very annoying. Happens to me frequently, especially when switching to a minimized window, or one that is below another window. Using GTX770 with the 331.67 drivers, but also happened with my GTX560 Ti, and with every driver version I can remember, ever since 12.10 +. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1072206 Title: [nvidia] Window content is black or transparent To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/compiz/+bug/1072206/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 986831] Re: system freezes for some seconds: Attempted to yield the CPU while in atomic or interrupt context
This occurs for me pretty much whenever I leave for awhile, come back, and within first 30 seconds of returning (starting to use my computer again), X will freeze. Only way to get out of it that I have found is using Alt + SysRq + REISUB. Checking syslog after it boots again, I always have "NVRM: os_schedule: Attempted to yield the CPU while in atomic or interrupt context". I very recently upgraded from a GTX 560 Ti to a GTX 770, and that's when this started happening. I never had this issue with my GTX 560 Ti. However, I do remember having this problem on the first gen aluminum iMac, with a 9800 I believe. I could never use the Nvidia drivers on it because of this, though the Nouveau drivers worked fine. Current setup: Linux 3.10 Ubuntu 13.10 GTX 770 Version 325.15 of the Nvidia drivers -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/986831 Title: system freezes for some seconds: Attempted to yield the CPU while in atomic or interrupt context To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/986831/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1288747] Re: [334] Parts of the UI randomly flicker when moving the mouse
@Christopher, I didn't see it happening for the first couple days. I had rebooted previously. I'm currently doing some dev work on windows but when I boot back into Linux I'll get that output. [Bug 1190146] Re: [needs-packaging] nightingale
Martin, I haven't pushed this to the ng-deps repo yet, but: https://github.com/johnmurrayvi/nightingale- deps/commit/b6279339c472bb0dff15cd3158567f3b9945cee4 I was going to try to add in changes mentioned by darealshinji in https://github.com/nightingale-media-player/nightingale-deps/issues/18 first, but I've gotten caught up in this windows issue. There are some dependency packages in the second link that have some improvements. @Emanuel I've been working on building an updated version of Nightingale that uses updated dependencies for a over year now. There are a lot of other issues to worry about besides using what's available in the Debian or Ubuntu repositories, unfortunately, and the build system is already incredibly complex, particularly for the dependencies. One of the primary problems with focusing on this issue is that Nightingale supports Mac and Windows. A number of the other problems, like using native TagLib and SQLite, come from the application itself previously relying on the patched dependencies, and the limited time and resources the development team has to allocate, prevent a quicker resolution to this. It sadly won't be an overnight fix, but believe me, I would love to have this in the Debian and Ubuntu repos too! -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1190146 Title: [needs-packaging] nightingale To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1190146/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1288747] Re: [334] Parts of the UI randomly flicker when moving the mouse
It doesn't seem to appear immediately, but once it happens, it starts happening consistently. It stops when I switch windows. I'm currently on the 337.25 drivers with a GTX 770. X, or something, is definitely having some issues it seems like, as my system has locked up twice in the past two hours. I've been able to ssh in and do a "killall5", which has worked both times luckily. I'm about to install the 340.17 drivers, and update the rest of my packages because it's been a few days since I've been able to. Hoping one of the updates has to do with the freezes. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1288747 Title: [334] Parts of the UI randomly flicker when moving the mouse To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/compiz/+bug/1288747/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1288747] Re: [334] Parts of the UI randomly flicker when moving the mouse
I had numerous more freezes after my last post. I removed the testing ppa and updated to the 340.17 drivers.
