[Bug 227359] Re: suddenly keyboard event recognition gets really slow after multiple suspend/resumes

2013-05-13 Thread Jeremy Attali
Recently, I've been having exactly the same issue with my keyboard. I do
not know if it's after a recent kernel update.

# uname -a
Linux basaidai 3.5.0-28-generic #48-Ubuntu SMP Tue Apr 23 23:03:38 UTC 2013
x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

Anyone else having the issue recently?

I am not using KDE or anything, just a clean 12.04 Ubuntu with Compiz.

Keyboard seems very sluggish after resume. I need to press hard on keys and
type very slow in order for keys to come in to the OS.
This looks like a Kernel bug.

[Bug 799938] Re: Trackpad of Dell XPS 15z not working

2011-11-13 Thread Jeremy Attali
I agree with jcat. Adding options psmouse proto=imps to
/etc/modprobe.d/options.conf enabled trackpad but it's still hard to
use.

Multi gesture is not working and just slightly hovering over trackpad
while typing leads to undesired click which is annoying.

Is there any chance to get an update of the driver somewhere? I checked
http://comments.gmane.org/gmane.linux.kernel/1108661 but it's hard to
see what the status of the driver is.

[Bug 331369] Re: regression vs. notification-daemon: positioning when multiple screens are available

2010-09-06 Thread Jeremy Attali
Could we use a command like this to set up on which screen we want our
bubble to appear on:

gconftool-2 -s /apps/notify-osd/gravity --type=int [screen] [number]

where [screen] is the screen number (0 or 1 in case of TwinView)
where [number] can be:
1 - top-right corner
2 - middle-right
3 - bottom-right corner
4 - bottom-left corner
5 - middle-left
6 - top-left corner
