Hi Albert, I recently (2-3 days ago) did a clean install with a more
recent daily image and I didn't run into the problem.

[Bug 937313] Re: Workspaces fails to come into focus when more than one app is running

2012-03-14 Thread Jeremiah Njoroge
There may be a misunderstanding in what the issue is.

The behaviour of a workspace when there are multiple applications
running in a workspace is different when there is only one application
running in a workspace.

Best way to see the issue is:
1. go to one of the workspaces
2. Launch multiple applications (Like Terminal and System Monitor)
3. Make sure the Terminal window stays open and the gui for Sys Monitor is
running
4. Go to another workspace and open Firefox

If you now click on the workspaces icon in the launcher where all
workspaces are on the screen, selecting the workspace with one app gui
running behaves differently than when selecting a workspace with
multiple application gui running.

The conclusion derived from Florian statement is that the behaviour
should be the same regardless of the number of gui apps running. Is
this correct? If this is the case then there is a behavioral
consistency issue

[Bug 931814] [NEW] toggling the 'seeing' text size setting in universal access causing system setting to redraw incorrectly

2012-02-13 Thread Jeremiah Njoroge
Public bug reported:

Toggling the text size from Normal to Small then back to Normal in the
Univeral Access System Setting causes the System Settings to incorrectly
redraw where some of the descriptions of the settings are cut-off

Steps to reproduce:

Open System Settings
Go to Universal Access
In the Seeing tab, switch from Normal to Small and back to Normal
Navigate back the System Settings.

As a side note - if you have terminal open and run through the same
experiment, the terminal window size expands after executing the 3rd
step in the repro process

[Bug 1163581] [NEW] No option to close Channel List window

2013-04-02 Thread Jeremiah Njoroge
Public bug reported:

Using Xchat on gnome-Raring. When the detail channel list is retrieved,
there is no way to close this window.

Steps to repro:
1. Click on the Server menu option
2. Select "Join Channel"
3. Select "Retrieve list"

after the retrieve list window opens, there is no option to cancel or
close. Using the ESC key does not close the window either.

[Bug 937313] [NEW] Workspaces fails to come into focus when more than one app is running

2012-02-20 Thread Jeremiah Njoroge
Public bug reported:

With Precise(Alpha2), if there are more than one application running in
a workspace, if you select that workspace, the workspace comes to the
front but is out of focus. The workspace only come into focus if one
clicks again on the fuzzy workspace.

Steps to see the problem described above:
In one of the workspaces, open a couple of application(eg Systems Settings &
Terminal)
Click on the Workspaces icon in the launchpanel(I think that's what it's called)
Select the workspace where the multiple applications are running
You should see this fuzzy workspace
