[Bug 359821] Re: empathy won't remember password or can't retrieve from keyring.
I still have this error, (it's not invalid i guess). I use Kubuntu and I think that empathy is too attached to the gnome keyring, that's why anytime i try to save the password, empathy never changes it and I think he uses "keyring" as a default password, that's why gtalk server always tells me "Bad autentication". Is there a way that empathy ask for the default keyring of the system, in this case, kde's keyring? [Bug 359821] Re: empathy won't remember password or can't retrieve from keyring.
I fixed the problem finally. I had to call the "seahorse" program (which is the keyring manager in gnome) so I had to delete the "login" password in the keyring. Then I went to empathy, saved my gtalk password and the keyring asked me to put new password for the keyring. Anyway, I'm still thinking that Empathy should allow not store the password using any keyring. Or at least call the default keyring, like kwallet for kubuntu. [Bug 279654] Re: firefox hangup while drag text in kde4
this happens to me too, but I believe is not hang up, but it freezes for a long time. In my case: 1. I choose (highlighted) some text to move 2. I tried to drag the selected text to the next blank line. The cursor changed to show I had selected text, but the selected text did not move. Only the mouse can move but no answer to any click. Then after like 10 seconds (it depends how far I've tried to drag the selection) the text gets drag, and then after more seconds (maybe 10 or 20 more, that's why it gives the feeling of hanged), finally it comes back to normal and I can click again etc. I'm using Kubuntu Intrepid but it also happened on my firefox on Kubuntu 08.04 (with KDe4) The package right now is: 3.0.3+nobinonly-0ubuntu2 is this KDE4 related? [Bug 436702] Re: Samsung "R519/R719": fn buttons don't work, can set brightness
I have this laptop too and installed Karmic, and I'm having exactly the same kind of issues, only the sound modifier works with the arrows keys, but not the brightness.. I wonder if ubuntu people could manage this things better and without the need of recompiling the kernel we could all have a .deb in backported modules or something that will detect our laptop model, (or a .deb per non-standard laptop) that will tweak your ubuntu detect everything... -- Samsung "R519/R719": fn buttons don't work, can set brightness https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/436702 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1200442] [NEW] Repeated icons for Gnome2 or Gnome3 in gnome-control-center
Public bug reported: I realized in my GNOME control center I have repeated icons (attached screenshot), for example the 'Online Accounts' (Cuentas en Lineas) or the language support. I believe they are instances of the Gnome2 and the Gnome3 versions of those settings. [Bug 1200447] [NEW] Send the apport data collected for a known bug number
Public bug reported: In many cases it occurred to me that I know an exact Launchpad Bug Id that is happening to me but I would like to add my case to the comments and therefore I open APPORT to get the data (dependencies.txt, etc) for my case. Then when apport redirects me to the Launchpad Generate New Bug and asks me to put the 'Summary' of the bug to search, I can't introduce the ID of such known bug. Even if I try to put some words of the title from the known bug, it doesn't show up in the list of suggested bugs. I think fixing this it will save many duplicated bugs being created in Launchpad. Suggestions: - In that summary page it could already ask me if I know the ID of the known Launchpad Bug that I want to add info to. ** Affects: apport (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1200447 Title: Send the apport data collected for a known bug number To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/apport/+bug/1200447/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
