[Bug 1048465] Re: Xorg can't start in normal graphic mode
Still having trouble yet... Indeed I have two Graphics Cards, but they were fine with Oneiric and Precise, that's why this bug is so strange for me... X never did it with me, I already have used Arch Linux, Debian, Ubuntu and this was my first problem with X. I've tried to reinstall xorg, radeon/ati and nothing worked... Basically after the boot, I can't get X, Ubuntu remains in console mode, I've tried to start lightdm again, but didn't work, start Xorg neither, so after a while turning on and off, sometimes I get the Low-graphics mode of X, where I could see the logs and stuff, but that was the only working option, to see the log. Ubuntu just shows me the graphical user interface when I set the kernel to boot with nomodeset. I've tried two ways to install it, so I guess it's not a problem with the ISO, should I try to install 12.04 and then upgrade it? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1048465 Title: Xorg can't start in normal graphic mode To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg/+bug/1048465/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 980519] Re: Random log off in Ubuntu 12.04 LTS
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 973096 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/973096 This duplicate is extremely wrong. I don't even have a Nvidia card! I did a fresh install and after update, the random log offs came back again, this is about X.org, but they don't care to us, so I've changed my OS, now I'm on Arch Linux, which is so much better, I hope they solve this issue on 12.10 and maybe I use Ubuntu again. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/980519 Title: Random log off in Ubuntu 12.04 LTS To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/unity/+bug/980519/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 973096 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/973096 Hi, there! I'm here because I DON'T have a Nvidia Graphic card, but AMD. So I'm with this same problem, specially when using Chromium. I tried to reinstall the entire Ubuntu, when I came back, it started again, so I removed the xorg-edgers ppa and then my Ubuntu was gone to 2D, I tried to reinstall the open source drivers and nothing worked well...
