This problem is still present on Ubuntu 16.04 with PlayOnLinux 4.2.10
and Wine 1.6.2.

Every https-site I visit is unreachable for Safari.

Any other tips except using the latest releases of those apps? :P

It turns out that using Wine 3.0 fixes the issue! :)

Wasn't aware that PlayOnLinux ships not with the latest wine version by
default. You have to add the Wine version by hand via configuration
panel.

[Bug 527478] Re: Karmic Cant login in KDE, but in GNOME

Same problem here. I make accidently a interessant discover. My
girlfriend can connect without any problem on her account. So maybe a
problem with a booting program, but I cannot detect wich one.
startx on kde is ok.
