[Bug 67443] Re: Progress bar is invisible
Modifying the engine also worked for me. I also tried to play with the setting "progressbarstyle" when the engine was ubuntulooks, but it had no effect. Two more things: the engine switching is a much better solution for me than reducing color depth because rdesktop kept crashing at 16 bit color depth and it is engine "ubuntulooks", not engine ubuntulooks (this might be useful for the people searching through the file). -- Progress bar is invisible https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/67443 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 67443] Re: Progress bar is invisible
I just observed that while switching to clearlooks solved my horizontal progress bars, it broke my vertical ones (like the one used in the volume control) which worked fine before now (meaning that the portion under the slider was colored), however they don't any more. This is not such a big problem since the slider button itself can give visual feedback on the position, but I thought that I should mention it. -- Progress bar is invisible https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/67443 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

I have a ATi Radeon 9200 video card and I too had this problem with the 7.04 beta (not with edgy). The problem appeared both when booting from the live cd and when running it for the HDD. [Bug 443131] Re: volume control mute when volume is lower than 21%
I have the same problem, but only with some applications (perhaps the pulseaudio - alsa bridge is the cause?). Concrete example: - Installed Ubuntu 9.10 daily build from around two weeks ago - fully updated - soundcard: Dell Inspiron 9400 built-in When I set a volume lower than ~20%, all sounds from Firefox (like a youtube video playing) are muted (ie. it jumps from quite loud to none). I am able to control the volume in a more gradual way both from inside the browser (ie. what the flash player offers) and from the "Applications" pane in the "Sound preferences" dialog. However the multimedia shortcut keys are bound to the main volume control, which makes this problem annoying. -- volume control mute when volume is lower than 21% https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/443131 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 460334] [NEW] empathy volume control doesn't show up in the "Applications" tab of "Sound preferences"
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: empathy Using Ubuntu 9.10 (a daily build from ~2 weeks ago, fully updated) with Empathy 2.28.1, empathy doesn't show up in the "Applications" tab of the "Sound Preferences" dialog for pulse audio. [Bug 1501854] [NEW] mod_proxy_uwsgi doesn't work with unix domain sockets
Public bug reported: If I specify "ProxyPass unix:/run/uwsgi/app/site/socket|uwsgi://" (this is inside of a location block, so need for the initial path) I will get "error parsing URL //: Invalid host/port" in the apache logs when I try to access that URL. If I try to change the final part (ie. "|uwsgi://" to "|uwsgi://localhost/"), it just tries to connect through TCP. The problem is fixed (at least for me) by the patch from the mailing list: http://lists.unbit.it/pipermail/uwsgi/2015-September/008185.html (I also let Debian know about this, so perhaps the fix will come from upstream - https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=752783#35). There is also a workaround: use "vanilla" mod_proxy_http over unix domain sockets: ProxyPass "/foo" "unix:/var/run/uwsgi/foo.socket|http://uwsgi-uds-foo/"; PS. Apparently, if you have multiple instances of uwsgi you want to connect to, you need to specify different names for them (ie. "http ://uwsgi-uds-foo/", "http://uwsgi-uds-bar/";, etc), having just different paths to the sockets will not work. ** Affects: uwsgi (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1501854 Title: mod_proxy_uwsgi doesn't work with unix domain sockets To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/uwsgi/+bug/1501854/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

I seem to have the same problem. I have a HP EliteBook 840 G1 with two external dell monitors (one horizontal and one vertical - rotated counter clockwise - although I don't think that has anything to do with it since I tried to set them all horizontal and the coursors were still doubled). The symptoms: under heavy load (while chrome is running, although I'm not sure it's related) the disk light starts be on constantly (rather than flashing) and after 2-3 minutes without disk access the computer freezes completely. Some more details: Linux cdman-BIG 3.2.0-32-generic #51-Ubuntu SMP Wed Sep 26 21:33:09 UTC 2012 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux Dell XPS 17 L702x, IntelĀ® CoreTM i7-2760QM 2.40GHz, 8GB, SSD 256GB, Blu- Ray, nVidia GeForce GT 555M 3GB Using Gnome 3 and bumblebee. Let me know what additional details would help investigate this issue. [Bug 707311] Re: /etc/cron.daily/popularity-contest don't run due to missing/etc/popularity-contest.conf
For what it's worth: this still happened on a less-than-a-week old EC2 micros instance with with 12.04.1. I'm not sure what the process for getting this fix into the image is (should I have chosen a different image when spinning up the instance?) but I thought I report it. [Bug 360818] Re: NetworkManager.vpn fails -- nm-vpn-connection.c.900: NeedSecrets
Hello everybody, I can confirm that the problem still happens with 11.04, as follows: - on first installation of network-manager-vpnc I can't connect to the VPN, and I get the error "Failed because there were no valid VPN secrets" - after reboot it works Explanation in commend #27 (bus policy changes only get applied after reboot in ubuntu) seems to make sense to me. This might be related to the following bug: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/compiz/+bug/631664 I had a similar issue (panel at bottom, calendar getting offscreen) and disabling visual effects (as suggested in the linked bug) fixed it for me. -- Clock-applet's calendar-dropdown partly hidden when panel is vertical https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/665767 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 450684] Re: html5 ogg media does not resume reliably after buffering
I think I have a similar problem: I open an ogg file (for example: http://audio.lugradio.org/shotofjaq/shotofjaq_ubuntusoftwarecenterreview.ogg) in a tag. It starts to play. I hit pause and leave it to load. Then I try to hit play, and I would expect for it to start playing, since it has been completely buffered, however it fails to do so. -- html5 ogg media does not resume reliably after buffering https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/450684 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1768799] Re: Java can't connect to https sites
I can confirm that this affects a clean install of Ubuntu 18.04. Steps to reproduce: - install Ubuntu 18.04.
