[Bug 375402] [NEW] Ordering of the default windows
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: byobu It would be nice if there was a way to specify the order of the default windows, so that I don't have to delete all already setup default windows and recreate them. [Bug 375410] [NEW] Keybinding missing for quitting screen
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: byobu There are keybindings for detaching and for locking, but there is no keybinding for quitting the whole session. Instead you have to quit each window individually. Also a keybinding for closing a window is missing, you either have to type exit if it is a shell or know what keys to hit to close the program running in window. Both of these may very well be just missing documentation. [Bug 246558] Re: ssh's init script should generate host keys if they're missing
Well. It complains that it can't find any hostkeys when started (and when logging in) but it works perfectly well without hostkeys when using GSSAPI. As we are only allowing GSSAPI on most of our machines there is really no need for the hostkey as the host authenticity is established using the GSSAPI keytab. Actually, getting the question about authenticity and adding it to know_hosts is bogus as the host is validated by other means and the only allowed mechanism are gssapi-keyex are gssapi-with-mic which are not using the hostkeys and thus the login will fail anyway if you don't have any valid kerberos/gssapi key, but not until you have accepted the hostkey. If you have a valid key you don't get the question about host authenticity. In my opinion ssh should be patched not "requiring" hostkeys (when using only GSSAPI), instead of automatically generating hostkeys. Yes I think the keys are generated on installation, but you can always deleted them if you don't need them or if you don't want to share them, which is what this bug is about. sshd_config attached used together with the following ssh-config: ForwardX11 yes GSSAPIKeyExchange yes GSSAPIAuthentication yes GSSAPIDelegateCredentials yes PreferredAuthentications gssapi-keyex,gssapi-with-mic Protocol 2 Cipher blowfish SendEnv LANG LC_* StrictHostKeyChecking ask HashKnownHosts no ** Attachment added: "sshd_config" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/15940534/sshd_config -- ssh's init script should generate host keys if they're missing https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/246558 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 89945] Re: scp doesn't report correct filenames with spaces in verbose mode
If you run scp with the '-v' (verbose) you can see what command is actually run. It should be in the first line of output. Without using any \ or " (or ') the filename are treated by the local shell as 3 arguments to scp instead of one; the filename. In the first case the \ are expanded by the local shell and the result are passed to scp. I.e \\ becames a \ and '\ ' becames ' ', so the string that are passed to scp is actually 'testmachine:File\ with\ spaces', which are then expanded on the remote side, using the same rules. In the second case the \ are not expanded by the local shell because of the ". The string (including \) are thus expanded on the remote side. [Bug 264303] [NEW] Please sync openafs (1.4.7.dfsg1-5) from debian
Public bug reported: Please sync Openafs (1.4.7.dfsg1-5) from Debian. It just contain minor fixes versus -3, which is the version in the archive currently. Both -3 and -5 needs to be fixed to compile on 2.6.27, however it is worthwhile to keep the delta with Debian at a minimum. I assume Russ is not interested in releasing another version of Openafs for Debian right now, so we need to patch the package in Ubuntu. I have been running 1.4.7.dfsg1-5 with patches for 2.6.27 for a couple of days without any noticeable regression and will fill another bug as soon as the sync has been processed. Unless it is rejected, that is. ** Affects: openafs (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Please sync openafs (1.4.7.dfsg1-5) from debian https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/264303 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 267504] Re: openafs-modules-source 1.4.6 fails to build with 2.6.27-2 kernel in intrepid: asm/semaphore.h removed
I have a patch/debdiff ready for fixing building openafs on 2.6.27. However it is against 1.4.7.dfsg1-5 so I'm waiting for a sync of it before filling a bug with the diff. Russ that would be awsome, and hopefully that would be a better sync- candidate, depending on when you get to push it, i.e if you upload the new version before the ubuntu sync window closes for Intrepid. It is not my decision to accept a sync request though. https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/openafs/+bug/267504 contains patches for building on 2.6.27 which are accepted (and commited) upstream.
