[Bug 1221857] [NEW] Wifi slowly degrades until no data transfer
Public bug reported: My wifi has been slowly degrading at random times to the point of no data transfer but network-manager still shows connected. Only thing that resolves it seems to be manually disconnecting from wifi AP via network- manager and reconnecting also toggling N off in iwlwifi seems to have some effect (maybe coincidence though) I have ruled out the issue being a result of interference by checking signal quality (iwconfig) when it occurs and my cable modem is online with no issues and so is Wireless AP and other devices do not have this issue. [Bug 1221857] Re: Wifi slowly degrades until no data transfer
@Joseph: This has been happening since the first 13.10 image was available and I installed it so several months now. So it happened in 3.10 and is still occuring in 3.11. [Bug 1221857] Re: Wifi slowly degrades until no data transfer
Also it is my understanding looking at Redhat Bugzilla and Launchpad that Intel still has not solidly implemented 802.11n in the iwlwifi driver for all cards. Although I have tweaked with module settings such as disabling N I'm unsure if the issue is even related since the slowdown seems to happen even with N toggled off. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1221857 Title: Wifi slowly degrades until no data transfer To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1221857/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

apport information ** Tags added: apport-collected ** Description changed: Expected Result: User plugs in headphones or speakers to audiojack on Dell 14z Laptop and audio then is produced through plugged in accesory Actual Result: No audio through accessory and volume dialog shows muted upon plugin. What I have done: 1. I check alsamixer and made sure volume levels were all up and not muted which did not resolve 2. I checked my alsa conf and tested two dell hda-intel options which had worked in the past when I had audio issues but that did not fix it. 3. I tested a upstream kernel 3.3 and that didnt help either My laptop is certified to work with Ubuntu 11.10 and 11.04 and the audio has worked just fine from Alpha 1 all the way until Beta 2 was released and when I did updates today audio stopped working properly. [Bug 969621] [NEW] Headphone Jack will not produce audio but internal will
Public bug reported: Expected Result: User plugs in headphones or speakers to audiojack on Dell 14z Laptop and audio then is produced through plugged in accesory Actual Result: No audio through accessory and volume dialog shows muted upon plugin.
