[Bug 477169] Re: Wubi/Karmic boot: kernel panic - not synching: VFS
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 477104 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/477104 Fix in #210 (Patch from #90) worked for me on HP Pavilion w/ Athlon 64 3800+ and nVidia GeForce 6150LE, w/ proprietary drivers; windows version is XP Media Center 2005, Ubuntu is 64-bit (new install, upgraded 2.6.31-14 to 2.6.31-16, only 14 would boot after the upgrade). All kernels boot correctly now. Did not remove insmod ntfs lines. Thanks a bunch! [Bug 873370] Re: [Thinkpad 200772U, Analog Devices AD1981] Sound playback distorted, especially when moving cursor with trackpoint, touchpad, or mouse
hmm...not that familiar with the kernel but I found the hda intel (snd-hda-intel) module in: /lib/modules//kernel/sound/pci/hda/ Don't know if you can just replace it with the latest kernel module from 11.04 version. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/873370 Title: [Thinkpad 200772U, Analog Devices AD1981] Sound playback distorted, especially when moving cursor with trackpoint, touchpad, or mouse To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/alsa-driver/+bug/873370/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 873370] Re: [Thinkpad 200772U, Analog Devices AD1981] Sound playback distorted, especially when moving cursor with trackpoint, touchpad, or mouse
Yep this bug affects me too. I have a Lenovo T60 and under 11.04 the sound was great, but after upgrading the sound is all distorted with crackling noises. Right after a reboot the sound is fine and will stay good for the length of a movie if I watch one. Only after using other applications does the sound turn bad.

Just wondring...has anyone tried the old 11.04 alsa drivers with the 11.10 kernel?
[Bug 155590] Re: text of 'big' tooltips not visible - black on black
Options to reproduce the error, and the tooltip class I'm talking about. If I set window text to white, the text in the tooltip will be white. ** Attachment added: "Screenshot.png" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/10110608/Screenshot.png -- text of 'big' tooltips not visible - black on black https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/155590 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 155590] text of 'big' tooltips not visible - black on black
Public bug reported: If I set (at Customize Theme - Colors) normal black-on-grey colors for windows, and white-on-black for tooltips (I don't like yellow), the 'enhanced' gtk2 (?) tooltips will be unreadable, black-on-black (!). The standard tooltips work just fine. The 'enhanced' tooltips I mean are those used for example for synaptic updates, with a close button in the right corner. I figured out the reason is that they use the font color defined for 'Windows' and the background color defined for 'Tooltips'. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- text of 'big' tooltips not visible - black on black https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/155590 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
