Re: [Bug 1048874] Re: Xorg crashed with SIGABRT in __libc_message() loading modesetting module - "corrupted double-linked list"
Sorry I no longer use ubuntu/Linux - Reply message - From: "Christopher M. Penalver" To: Subject: [Bug 1048874] Re: Xorg crashed with SIGABRT in __libc_message() loading modesetting module - "corrupted double-linked list" Date: Tue, Jan 7, 2014 03:14 Adam Bruce, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? If so, could you please test for this with the latest development release of Ubuntu? ISO images are available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com /daily-live/current/ . If it remains an issue, could you please run the following command in the development release from a Terminal (Applications->Accessories->Terminal), as it will automatically gather and attach updated debug information to this report: apport-collect -p xorg-server REPLACE-WITH-BUG-NUMBER Please note, given that the information from the prior release is already available, doing this on a release prior to the development one would not be helpful. [Bug 1138152] [NEW] Applications launched maximised have gap down the right hand side
Public bug reported: To reproduce - Launch nautilus, unmaximise it and then maximise it again - Launch Firefox from the dock (it must launch maximised, so if it's not, maximise it then close and launch again) - Click on the very far right of the Firefox window, there is a small gap so clicking will bring the Nautilus window to the front I noticed this whilst trying to scroll in Firefox and then other windows kept coming to the front, I didn't know why. If you set a blue wallpaper for example you will see the gap on the right clearly. If you maximise windows manually this does not happen. It only happens when launching maximised windows. [Bug 1119798] Re: unity quicklist entries for nautilus open behind gnome-terminal & or browsers like firefox, chromium
I confirm this bug. Expanding on Doug's test cases, it is not application specific, but dependant on whether you are interacting within the application itself or selecting the the application window 'frame'. To reproduce nautilus opening in front: Open firefox Drag the firefox window using the top panel to a new location (so it's the last place you have clicked) Right click nautilus dock icon, select Downloads Nautilus will open in font To reproduce nautilus opening behind: Open firefox Interact with the application, such as typing in the address bar (so it's the last place you clicked) Right click nautilus dock icon, select Downloads Nautilus will open in behind This is the same for all applications -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1119798 Title: unity quicklist entries for nautilus open behind gnome-terminal & or browsers like firefox, chromium To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/unity/+bug/1119798/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1125164] [NEW] Multiple dock icons appear for System Settings
Public bug reported: Hard to reproduce as this is very inconsistent. - Open System Settings - Click any settings option - Click 'All Settings' to go back - Click another (or the same) settings option - Click 'All Settings' to go back .. keep repeating and eventually you will see multiple (usually 2, sometimes 3) System Settings icons in the dock this only sometimes happens, sorry I can't be more accurate Please see video of it happening. The frame rate is a little slow but you can see the multiple options sometimes show up. I can rightclick on both options. [Bug 1139803] [NEW] Software updater hangs/stops responding when clicking an update that has lots of version changes
Public bug reported: When viewing available updates, if I click on an update that has lots of version changes, then update manager will hang for a while/not respond. It will then come available again. I have noticed this a few times with raring This only happens when clicking updates with lots of version changes, it does not do it with others. I assume it's taking a while to handle/load the changes. This tends to happen with linux kernel updates as they contain a lot fo changes. Also Python3 today. I will leave a comment with the number of version changes that seem to cause the issue. Of course you will need to wait for a large update to reproduce. [Bug 982889] Re: X trying to start before plymouth has finished using the drm driver
I ran apt-cache policy xserver-xorg-core yesterday and realised the patched hadn't been applied when I originally posted my Xorg logs. I saw a update today from your PPA and now I see xserver-xorg-core: Installed: 2:1.13.2-0ubuntu3~lp982889~1 So it has now been applied. I guess this was due to the building problem for amd? It now shows as built successfully. I know you said my error may be slightly different to the OP, but I thought I would post as it may be useful and this time I can see the "drm device not ready (#), sleeping for 20us" messages you mentioned. Mine seems similar to Franck's. I'm also seeing 'setversion 1.4 failed'. It did not boot successfuly though and went to Low Graphics mode. There is a crash report if you want me to upload that as a report.
