Public bug reported: Binary package hint: firefox Many times i want to download a webpage in firefox. I press ctrl + s for that or go to file->save page as... But this process pops up a new 'Download' dialog box. This box gets focus on it and looses focus on main firefox window. This is irritable. When i press ctrl +s and tell firefox to download that page i know that it is now downloading that page. i dont want it to take me to that dialog box. This is inturrupting my work flow. e.g. you can consider tthe same in chromium browser. in chromium browser when i download something or save some web page it just creates new bar at the bottom and displays the download status there, so not disturbing my work flow. [Bug 893943] [NEW] avant not auto hiding
Public bug reported: 1. my avant is set to intellihide. 2. now its hidden 3. now i am in any other window 4. now due to some reason my mouse pointer is inside the area of space covered by avant when it is not hidden that is when it is brought to front. as you can see in image number 1. 5. now suddenly there is update manager window appears 6. avant dock comes up and tells me about appearing of new window 7 now i press keyboard shortcut alt tab to go to that new window of update manager. Note that i do not use my mouse or I do not even touch it . Mouse pointer is still at the same position explained in step number 4 8 now after going to update manager windows either do update or close this window as per my wish. after that avant sits there only in front. avant do not go and hide. As you can see in image number 2. it does due to that mouse pointer thing i explained in step number 4 Suggestion: make avant recognize that if it is called in front using keyboard shortcut then after completing the task of switching to that new window (in above example the new window is update manager) the avant dock should auto hide irrespective of the mouse pointer position. Mouse pointer is still at the same position explained in step number 4 8 now after going to update manager windows either do update or close this window as per my wish. after that avant sits there only in front. avant do not go and hide. As you can see in image number 2. it does due to that mouse pointer thingy i explained in step number 4 Suggetion: make avant recognise that if it is called in frong using keyboard shortcut then after completing the task of switching to that new window (in above example the new window is update manager) the avant dock should auto hide irrespective of the mouse pointer position. In my case when I come her on launchpad to file a bug using firefox, then I need to upload debug.txt. But it is not allowing me to click on that debug.txt which was in my /home/username. it keep opening another folder adn wrong file.
