Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Unfortunately, we cannot work on this bug because your description didn't include enough information. You may find it helpful to read "How to report bugs effectively" http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/bugs.html. We'd be grateful if you would then provide a more complete description of the problem. We have instructions on debugging some types of problems at http://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingProcedures. At a minimum, we need: 1. The specific steps or actions you took that caused you to encounter the problem. 2. The behavior you expected. 3. The behavior you actually encountered (in as much detail as possible). Please also ensure that you include the release and flavour of Ubuntu that you are using. Your title & package details match bionic/18.04 (ie. "chromium-browser | 101.0.4951.64-0ubuntu0.18.04.1 | bionic-security/universe | source, amd64, arm64, armhf, i386") but your release is shown as focal/20.04. Are you sure you wouldn't benefit from support? Bug reporting is mostly about finding & fixing problems thus preventing future users from hitting the same bug. I suspect a Support site would be more appropriate, eg. https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu. You can also find help with your problem in the support forum of your local Ubuntu community http://loco.ubuntu.com/ or asking at https://askubuntu.com or https://ubuntuforums.org, or for more support options please look at https://discourse.ubuntu.com/t/community-support/709 I've marked this bug report 'incomplete'; if you believe I'm in error, please leave a comment saying why (or details as to your problem) and the status can be returned to 'new' Thank you! ** Changed in: chromium-browser (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1976433 Title: package chromium-browser 101.0.4951.64-0ubuntu0.18.04.1 failed to install/upgrade: el subproceso nuevo paquete chromium-browser script pre-installation devolvió el código de salida de error 1 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/chromium-browser/+bug/1976433/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1976472] Re: Snapd User Session Agent Errormessage
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. It seems that your bug report is not filed about a specific source package though, rather it is just filed against Ubuntu in general. It is important that bug reports be filed about source packages so that people interested in the package can find the bugs about it. You can find some hints about determining what package your bug might be about at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/FindRightPackage. You might also ask for help in the #ubuntu-bugs irc channel on Libera.chat. To change the source package that this bug is filed about visit https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1976472/+editstatus and add the package name in the text box next to the word Package. I saw with htop that one of my CPU core is at 100% of the kernel. With perf top I could find it's spending time in the ath9k driver, in ioread32, see the attachment. This is not going via focal-security, because the security issue has already been fixed on all other arches, and riscv64 currently has best effort security support. [Bug 874181] Re: brltty daemon prevents creation of ttyUSB0 device link
This issue also effects electronics hobbyist as I couldn't upload any code to my ESP32 controller because the port keeps disappearing. I breaks my ESP32 uploader as well as my FTDI adapter that I use for uploading codes to other circuits. The same issue occurs on connecting other tty devices such as an xbee coordinator we use in our servers at our company. I don't know how this could be fixed, but ubuntu 22.04 broke everything by including this package by default. It wasn't happening in 20.04. Thanks for your help. [Bug 1965808] Re: [SRU] 2.55.5
Also, per our old old agreement regarding SRUs of snapd to stable series, we wanted *every* distro-affecting change (packaging) to be documented and accounted by explicit manual testing when verifying the given release. Looking at the changelog, I see that there is a change to systemd unit restarts (for xenial I guess?). Please document this and be sure to have a manual verification that everything is restarted as expected for all the series. I think we need to start putting more 'quality' into the SRUs for snapd. Can we get the bug updated re: 2.55.5? Sorry, didn't see the reply with the upstream link. It seems different to me, I haven't had any issues (that I've noticed) with invisible windows. I've attached a screen recording. In this, I have terminal in the foreground and alt-tab to settings. Because the mouse is outside the settings window (i.e., still over terminal), terminal gets pulled almost immediately to the front again. ** Attachment added: "video of the issue" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-shell/+bug/1969602/+attachment/5594297/+files/Screencast%20from%2001-06-22%2012%3A19%3A59.webm -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1969602 Title: gnome-shell with "Focus on hover" behaves wrongly when alt-tabbing To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/gnome-shell/+bug/1969602/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1976488] [NEW] Move focal/linux-azure-fde to 5.15
Public bug reported: [Impact] Use focal/linux-azure-5.15 as based for linux-azure-fde. The 5.15 linux- azure kernel already contains all the changes needed by confidential computing. [Test Plan] The resulting UEFI binary should be able to boot in a CVM instance. [Where problems could occur] Regressions in the upgrade process might happen. [Bug 1951586] Re: Need option to specify wifi regulatory domain
>> it's apparently never worked for me at home or at various friends >> houses, and only once worked when I travelled to Germany for a >> sprint. > is that having a visible impact for users? like was your computer > not able to connect to some access point? Personally, I've never encountered issues with WiFi on a Pi. However, firstly it's worth noting the vast majority of pis around my house are connected via ethernet and, secondly that my broadband connection typically hovers around 60-80Mbps, so the 54Mbps max bandwidth of 802.11g is "fast enough" that anything more wouldn't be noticed anyway. Notably, this also means I *don't* use bonded 5GHz channels in my home setup. The reason I mention this is that, over the last few years there's been a slow (but steady) drum-beat of complaints about WiFi on the Pi when using Ubuntu [1][2][3][4] (some of those are comments from the same bug, but it seems to be one that people land on when googling this for Ubuntu). [1]: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-firmware-raspi2/+bug/1851129/comments/1 [2]: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-firmware-raspi2/+bug/1862760/comments/11 [3]: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-firmware-raspi2/+bug/1862760/comments/29 [4]: https://bugs.launchpad.net/netplan/+bug/1908951 > if that's the consequence of the issue it is a bit surprising that > we got no user report of the type of 'my laptop isn't able to > connect to my AP anymore since the upgrade to the new LTS' no? or is > the issue somehow specific to raspi devices? The complaint usually isn't "I can't connect to my AP anymore". It's usually "my WiFi connection is slow" (which is obviously a much harder problem to debug and address) but this does appear to be a problem specific to the Pi. Mostly though, this comes up on IRC, and it's a safe bet that the person involved has a 5GHz setup, sometimes with bonded channels. Obviously bonded channel setups require more (typically adjacent) channels and this makes them particularly susceptible to poor performance when the region code hasn't been set (and the channels, or channel mitigations are limited). With pure 5GHz APs (no 2.4GHz channels at all) we've also had reports of no connectivity. One other (anecdotal) observation is that despite RaspiOS having a considerably larger installed base of Ubuntu on the Pi, WiFi issues rarely crop up there. Notably, RaspiOS prompts for a wifi regulatory region in its first time setup. There are several other differences, but under the covers we're using the same firmware, and wpa-supplicant is ultimately in charge of the WiFi connection on both OS'. Given 5GHz setups are only likely to become more common in future (802.11ac, which the Pi 3+ and 4 are compatible with, is notably 5GHz only [5]) my suspicion is this will only become more important in the coming years.
