[Bug 1964317] [NEW] make dahdi available only on non-cloud kernels
Public bug reported: [Impact] DAHDI (formly Zaptel) is an interface for telephony devices (e.g. the Asterisk PBX software). Maintaining this module on cloud kernels has been always problematic, because most of the cloud kernels are missing the modules required by this dkms. Moreover it is quite unlikely to find a real world use case that may require to have this module installed in a cloud instance. In kernels such as linux-kvm for example this test has been failing since forever and it has been always hinted. At this point it is better to simply not provide this module. [Test case] Install this module on a kernel typically used in cloud instances, i.e.: $ sudo apt install dahdi-dkms [Fix] Adjust dkms.conf to provide this dkms only on a certain subset of kernels (excluding cloud kernels). [Regression potential] We may incorrectly exclude some kernels that actually require this module, so we may see potential regressions limited to the unavailability of this dkms. ** Affects: dahdi-linux (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1964317 Title: make dahdi available only on non-cloud kernels To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/dahdi-linux/+bug/1964317/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1964321] [NEW] obs-studio should support browser objects and twitch integration
Public bug reported: The obs-studio that we provide in Ubuntu is pretty much useless, because it's missing some key features, like browser objects and a better integration with some streaming platforms, such as Twitch. I always need to use obs-studio from ppa:obsproject/obs-studio and that is not a big problem, but it's very annoying when the version of obs- studio in the archive is updated and it overrides the version from the ppa, because it's completely breaking my setup. I know I can `apt-mark hold obs-studio`, but it's still quite annoying... I'm wondering why it's problematic to provide the same features that the version in ppa:obsprojects/obs-studio in our main archive... I'd be happy just with the browser object support. ** Affects: obs-studio (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1964321 Title: obs-studio should support browser objects and twitch integration To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/obs-studio/+bug/1964321/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Hi, I think I had the same problem. [Bug 1962289] Re: Mediatek AIoT i500 support
@Loïc I'm working on an image which will support multiple Medaitek AIoT boards. The dtbo files are for some external components like cameras and panels. Mediatek would like to have these dtbo files in the fitimage. These components are optional. When end-users have it, they can enable it by modifying an u-boot variable. Pi, zynqmp, and other boards' uboot boot scripts are in flash-kernel. So, I thought it's the right place for the u-boot boot script. I suggested the HWE team to add the ITS file into linux package. They will have an internal discussion for it. If ITS/DTB/DTBO are in the linux packages, there won't be a dependency issue. I'll get back to you when I get the feedback from the HWE team. Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Reviewing your dmesg attachment in this bug report it seems that there is a problem with your hardware. I recommend performing a back up and then investigating the situation. Measures you might take include checking cable connections and using software tools to investigate the health of your hardware. In the event that is is not in fact an error with your hardware please set the bug's status back to New. Thanks and good luck! [This is an automated message. [Bug 1964333] Re: window decoration glitch with nvidia driver 495 and 510
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. It seems that your bug report is not filed about a specific source package though, rather it is just filed against Ubuntu in general. It is important that bug reports be filed about source packages so that people interested in the package can find the bugs about it. You can find some hints about determining what package your bug might be about at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/FindRightPackage. You might also ask for help in the #ubuntu-bugs irc channel on Libera.chat. To change the source package that this bug is filed about visit https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1964333/+editstatus and add the package name in the text box next to the word Package. [Bug 1964132] Re: [FFe] webkit2gtk additionally built with libsoup3 support
** Description changed: Request --- Add the new libsoup3-using packages in webkit2gtk Why Needed -- Our webkit2gtk packaging is built with libsoup2 (webkitgtk's 4.0 API). Debian's packaging recently added additional packages built with libsoup3 (webkitgtk's 4.1 API); these should not affect the existing libsoup2 packages. The libsoup2 > libsoup3 transition is a big one and will not happen for 22.04 LTS; I am hoping we can finish it for main by 23.04 but I haven't looked into it yet. It's expected that GNOME 43 will try to switch to libsoup3. Having webkit2gtk with libsoup3 support in 22.04 LTS will make it easier for newer versions of the GNOME Web Browser (epiphany) to run on this release. It also will make it easier to create snaps of GNOME 43 apps using a core22 base. My instinct is that we want libsoup3 and the new webkit+libsoup3 packages to stay in universe for 22.04 LTS and then Main Inclusion can be recommended for 22.10. It is not intended for any traditional (.deb) packages in 22.04 LTS itself to use these new packages except epiphany. I already uploaded the webkit2gtk merge/sync with this change. If this FFe is rejected, I can undo the addition. What Changed See above - If Approved, What's Still Needed - - libsoup3 needs to be built on i386 - An archive admin will need to manually handle the new 4.1 packages to keep them in universe. - Build Test -- https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/webkit2gtk/2.35.90-1ubuntu1 Install Test Not done yet. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1964132 Title: [FFe] webkit2gtk additionally built with libsoup3 support To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/webkit2gtk/+bug/1964132/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
