unfortunately, I have been unable to reproduce the problem in my test
environment until now. I attached the stack trace which I took when
opening the bug. I'll open the compute server with the patched kernel to some
test users now.

The changeset is too large to fit in the SRU rules, so the iwlwifi changeset
only applied on oem osp1 kernel.

[Bug 1665355] Re: import GDL fails in python (ImportError: dynamic module does not define init function (initGDL))

2019-09-16 Thread Ole Streicher
Finally, I think I found the cause (as the problem appeared on Debian as
well): The object file pythongdl.cpp.o was empty, and all functions
(including initGDL and PyInit) were called from the library
(libgnudatalanguage0) linked to. On gcc-9 (and probably on Ubuntu's
gcc), the "as-needed" flag is implicite in the linking step, which
prevents unneded libraries from being linked. Therefore, the symbols
can't befound anymore.

This is now solved in the Debian package.

[Bug 1843524] Re: Please package 3.33.91 or remove Geary from Ubuntu

2019-09-16 Thread Michael Gratton
A HOWTO is linked to on the main page for WebKitGTK on the WebKit wiki:
https://trac.webkit.org/wiki/WebKitGtkLayoutTests - don't know if it has
JSC API coverage though.

Regardless, I'm not sure why WebKitGTK gets a free pass wrt its tests
and Geary doesn't. Not that I'm saying that Geary's tests shouldn't be
run at build, but I can't see how test failures causing a FTB on two
arches with effectively non-existent desktop installation bases should
be blocking it getting updated for everyone else. Hence my suggestion
for disabling the tests for those two archs.

2019-09-16 Thread Julian Andres Klode
Public bug reported:

After the update to 5.3-10, my T480s now crashes in TPM init. At least
the kernel executes, unlike in bug 1843860.

I don't have a full backtrace, as the kernel crashes and I can only take a
screenshot at the end of the crash message.

[Bug 1844102] [NEW] Can't enable WLAN on Dell platform when enabling control WLAN radio then unplug LAN

2019-09-16 Thread Che Cheng
Public bug reported:

There is a BIOS option to control WLAN radio on Dell laptop. When
plugging LAN cable, the WLAN radio is blocked, unplugging LAN cable and
the WLAN radio should be unblocked. Dell also has docking stations like
WD19 series that equipped with USB LAN.

The LAN chip on WD19 series is Realtek 8153 gigabit ethernet. The issue
is when turning on WLAN radio control and plugging the docking station
with LAN connection, the wireless network will be turned off. While
disconnecting LAN, the wireless network remains off.

The Realtek 8153 runtime power management is set to auto by TLP package.
If the power management is set to on, then this issue can't be
reproduced.

The workaround worked for me also and fixed the problem:

$ sudo ln -s /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libxmlbird.so.1 /usr/lib/x86_64
-linux-gnu/libxmlbird.so.1.0

Maybe someone responsible for distribution of ubuntu ISO could put this
link to next release of ubuntu 16.04 ?? I did not check if 18.04 is
also effected, but could do ...

[Bug 1729433]

2019-09-16 Thread Qa-admin-q
Dear Jean-François Fortin Tam,

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today,
LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open,
confirmed bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked
on this bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has
been fixed, or the details of the problem have changed. We'd really
appreciate your help in getting confirmation that the bug is still
present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of
LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information
from Help - About LibreOffice.

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to
RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help
- About LibreOffice.

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular
meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a
REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your
bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from
http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat:
https://kiwiirc.com/nextclient/irc.freenode.net/#libreoffice-qa

Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone!

Warm Regards,
QA Team

[Bug 1735099] Re: Realtek Card Reader not working (kernel driver)

2019-09-16 Thread TJ
Austin, thanks for confirming that repository solves the issue for you.
I'll try to make a diff of the original commit to that repository
against the Linux mainline driver at the same date, maybe we can be
lucky and it'll make the required change clear so we can test it in
Ubuntu and then get it into mainline kernel.

Please keep a watch on this report for updates.

[Bug 147551] Re: cups-pdf fails to generate file when user does not print to default ~/PDF (apparmor vs.cups-pdf inconsistency)

2019-09-16 Thread Zenaan Harkness
For reference, just steamrolled through this same saga, and finally
figoured out that Geany and Mousepad each use the same print dialog
(gnome?) which provides a "print to file" option, which provides to
choose both a save location and the output/save format (PDF, PS, SVG).
That might help some who missed the obvious...
