[Bug 1328727]
Yes I can sorta confirm the bug is in uswsusp. I removed the package and pm-utils and used both "systemctl hibernate" and "echo disk >> /sys/power/state" to hibernate. It seems to succeed and shuts down, I am just not able to resume from it, which seems to be a classical problem solved just by setting the resume swap file/partition on grub. (which i tried and didn't work even with nvidia disabled) Anyway uswsusp is still necessary because the default kernel hibernation doesn't work with the proprietary nvidia drivers as long as I know and tested. Is there anyway I could get any workaround to this bug on my current OS by the way? [Bug 1328727]
Created attachment 282117 boot-sequence Okay I found a way to get it working and there was also a huge mistake on my last boot-config, the resume was commented :P I basically followed this: https://askubuntu.com/a/1064114 but changed to: resume=/dev/disk/by-uuid/70d967e6-ad52-4c21-baf0-01a813ccc6ac (just the uuid wouldnt work) and this is probably the most important thing to do.it worked! I also set the resume variable in initramfs to my swap partition but this might nor be so important anyway since it's automatically detected. I tested both systemctl hibernate and pm-hibernate, i guess they call the same thing anyway. I attached a screenshot. Seems to be working fine without uswsusp and with nvidia proprietary drivers! [Bug 1818614] Re: [SRU] Various L3HA functional tests fails often
cause of this issue: The problem is that the following is being passed to neutron-keepalived- state-change when spawned: '--AGENT-root_helper_daemon=%s' % self.agent_conf.AGENT.root_helper_daemon And in my env root_helper_daemon is not configured or running (which is the neutron default fwiw). So we need to not pass that if it is not set so that neutron-keepalive- state-change won't try to use it so e.g. right now in ps i have: ... --AGENT-root_helper=sudo /usr/bin/neutron-rootwrap /etc/neutron/rootwrap.conf --AGENT-root_helper_daemon=None The "None" is what is breaking it. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1818614 Title: [SRU] Various L3HA functional tests fails often To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/cloud-archive/+bug/1818614/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1823186] [NEW] Add uid shifting overlay filesystem (shiftfs)
Public bug reported: shiftfs transparently translates the on-disk ids of an underlaying filesystem into valid ids in a given user namespace. This is wanted in Ubuntu for LXD and Anbox and is targeted for inclusion in Disco. The main advantage of shiftfs is that it provides signficiant performance benefits as it lets us avoid recursively chowning the root filesystem for unprivileged containers when they are created or when their idmap is changed. This becomes very important with workloads where we are running a huge number of containers which Anbox and LXD both are currently doing. Other container runtimes will benefit from shiftfs in Ubuntu as well. ** Affects: linux (Ubuntu) Importance: Medium Assignee: Seth Forshee (sforshee) Status: Fix Committed ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Status: In Progress => Fix Committed -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1823186 Title: Add uid shifting overlay filesystem (shiftfs) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1823186/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Re: [Bug 1822480] Re: Scrollbar Missing in Font Selection for Insert Character Form
