[Bug 1611363] Re: vim.gtk3 crashes frequently with SIGSEGV in ffi_call_unix64()
Given the Assignee: auto-github-vim-vim #851 I think what happened is that someone noticed this is also the bug in github. However, if you read the bug in github, they closed *that* bug because they said it was an Ubuntu bug. So I think there is no Fix Released, as upstream said it was an Ubuntu bug. This is hitting me as well. ** Changed in: vim Importance: Unknown => Undecided ** Changed in: vim Status: Fix Released => New ** Changed in: vim Remote watch: github.com/vim/vim/issues #851 => None -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1611363 Title: vim.gtk3 crashes frequently with SIGSEGV in ffi_call_unix64() To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/vim/+bug/1611363/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1448418] Re: Logout not working in Cairo Dock
Hello. I have experienced this bug after updating from Ubuntu 14 to Ubuntu 16 (it did not exist in Ubuntu 14). Following what it is said in this thread, I have created an script in $HOME/bin with the contents: gnome-session-quit --logout --no-prompt To logout, I open a terminal and execute this script (whit a shorter name and easier to remember than the full command). As previously told, it only works if no attempt to logout by other method has been issued before. Perhaps a button in the dock associated to this script might be created to make things easier (how???) For me, the bug exist if the session is open with cairo-dock but not if it is open with plain metacity. If the problem is just a dialogue box not appearing, at is seems, why is that difficult to solve this bug which seems to survive through several Ubuntu updates? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1448418 Title: Logout not working in Cairo Dock To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/cairo-dock/+bug/1448418/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1650796] Re: Black image (no video) with Live! Cam Connect HD VF0750 with some exceptions
apport information ** Tags added: apport-collected ** Description changed: Problem was discovered on Dell 6400 laptop (32-bit) after upgrading Ubuntu 14.04 to 16.40. Launching Cheese with Live! Cam Connect HD VF0750 webcam *sometimes* (randomly) gives no video, only black image. No errors are reported on GUI, console and syslog. You can start Cheese again and it might start video, but sometimes not, randomly. In case when there is no image, opening Settings and changing resolution makes video appear! Tried to downgrade libv4l-0, libv4lconvert0 to 14.04 version (1.0.1 I believe) but it did not helped. Upgrading to Linux 4.8 (from hwe package) did not helped either. On other laptop with Ubuntu 14.04 (with same 4.4 kernel from hwe package) there is no issues as such, so I assume it's bug with Cheese itself. Interestingly, on yet other laptop (Asus N551JM) with Kubuntu 16.04 Cheese does not show video on launch always (tested with many restarts of Cheese app). If I change resolution in Settings, it does start to show video thought. That computer is faster than Dell 6400 one, so I'm guessing it could be some kind race condition..? I cannot reproduce this issue with Camorama for example, it seems it always starts video successfully for this webcam. [Bug 1650019] Re: Jajuk "display perspective" error
hello blancetnoir, I cannot reproduce the error on Debian unstable, where the same version of libjgoodies-animation-java (1.4.3-1) and of course the same jajuk version is used. Does it occur directly on startup? It seems the fix is simple: Include jgoodies-common.jar in the MANIFEST (as you write). Unfortunately, yakkety is already stable, so it takes a "stable release update" to fix this (very much work even for trivial changes). Why did it occur / why did you notice it so late? Did an update break this? I am not a Ubuntu developer (I maintain jajuk on the Debian side). Is there a Ubuntu dev who could step in? Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Unfortunately, we cannot work on this bug because your description didn't include enough information. You may find it helpful to read "How to report bugs effectively" http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/bugs.html. We'd be grateful if you would then provide a more complete description of the problem. We have instructions on debugging some types of problems at http://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingProcedures. At a minimum, we need: 1. The specific steps or actions you took that caused you to encounter the problem. 2. The behavior you expected. 3. The behavior you actually encountered (in as much detail as possible). [Bug 1616830] Re: Bad disk performance with AMD Carrizo FCH controllers
Srijan Kumar Sharma, to be honest I thought about making separate bug reports but I think maybe Linux kernel is sponsored by Intel or something. Because all my bug reports related to machines with AMD processors got silently ignored after making me collect information after information. So I decided that I would wait and see if this specific bug report would get fixed or not before doing more bug reports. So far 3 months and nothing. Usually what happens is that after about a year the ticket will be updated and say that the hardware is obsolete, or this version of linux kernel is old so I need to re-collect all the information again.. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1616830 Title: Bad disk performance with AMD Carrizo FCH controllers To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1616830/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1592427] Re: I can't disable proposed updates
Hopefully a final comment about this from me, with a suggestion about how to restore the packages that you don't want from "proposed" back to stable repository versions. With some help from another Ubuntuforums member, 1fallen, I was given this info page from askubuntu http://askubuntu.com/questions/768849/how-to-reverse-proposed-channel-package-upgrade which I followed and successfully managed to get my machine back to where I thought it was before this surprise discovery of "proposed" being enabled. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1592427 Title: I can't disable proposed updates To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/software-properties/+bug/1592427/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
