[Bug 1574113] Re: curtin/maas don't support multiple (derived) archives/repositories with custom keys
Hi, the cloud init portion that is required for this functionality is ready in a MP at https://code.launchpad.net/~paelzer/cloud-init/test-apt-source/+merge/294521 . I think this should get in soon depending on smoser's next review. IF/WHAT change we need in curtin and/or maas to exploit these has to be discussed - I couldn't reach smoser last Friday - but in the meantime I think that is something to be discussed with the MAAS team ahead of time anyway. IMHO - given the cloud-init changes, the MAAS/cloud-init preseeds infrastructure could be already enough for any site that wants to use this feature to set it up with keys and custom source.list templates as they need to allow a derived repositories. @Andres: If you could set up a call with smoser and me that works for you - that would be great. IIRC you are currently sprinting and I know combining your current TZ and mine in Germany won't leave a lot of options, but I think you have the busiest schedule atm - so you should be scheduling it. ** Branch linked: lp:~paelzer/cloud-init/test-apt-source ** Also affects: cloud-init (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Changed in: cloud-init (Ubuntu) Status: New => Triaged ** Changed in: cloud-init (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided => Medium -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1574113 Title: curtin/maas don't support multiple (derived) archives/repositories with custom keys To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/curtin/+bug/1574113/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1582545] Re: claws-email can no longer receive emails
I should mention that yesterday I did this: sudo pip install --upgrade pyopenssl (I did it in response to advice given to solve a Google App Engine problem.) I don't think it is related because as far as I can see claws-email doesn't use Python. Anyway, to be on the safe side today I did: sudo pip uninstll pyopenssl I also reinstalled both pyopenssl and claws-email. But the problem persists. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1582545 Title: claws-email can no longer receive emails To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/claws-mail/+bug/1582545/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1582297] Re: Sign-in dialog has two titles
Rodney, if the need arises we can certainly think of a way to give the account plugin full control over the page (though I'm not even sure it's a good idea: one could ship an account plugin which presents itself as a Google account and fools the user into inserting his Google credentials), but anyway as far as this specific bug is concerned, this is irrelevant. As I understand, the only thing that needs to be done here is to remove the "Sign in to your Ubuntu One account" message, which comes from the plugin. ** Changed in: ubuntu-system-settings-online-accounts (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1582297 Title: Sign-in dialog has two titles To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubuntu-system-settings-online-accounts/+bug/1582297/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1581535] Re: libnl upgrade breaks Network Manager
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 1511735 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1511735 Ekimia, Looks like the fix is in place, I had downloaded the following packages manually from packages.ubuntu.com, trusty-updates: - libnl-3-200_3.2.21-1ubuntu1.1_amd64.deb - libnl-genl-3-200_3.2.21-1ubuntu1.1_amd64.deb - libnl-route-3-200_3.2.21-1ubuntu1.1_amd64.deb Has to install it using sudo dpkg -i, as Ubuntu software center was not allowing it due to the dependency relation between these packages. Anyhow after installing these packages and doing a sudo service network-manager restart enabled my netwrok manager, previously with the broken packages, it was resulting in netwrok-manager crashing, if I tried to restart the service, but after these packages were installed the netwrok-manager worked normally. One more thing, though technically a apt-get upgrade and reboot should work, it won't work as without the network-manager there is no easy way to connect to the internet, so for most users they'll have to download the packages manually and install like I had to do. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1581535 Title: libnl upgrade breaks Network Manager To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libnl3/+bug/1581535/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1582471] Re: Add focus/unfocus event passing for Xmir non-rootless mode
Wait, does this request make any sense? (Brandon?) The described use case was wanting to hide the OSK on focus loss. But surely you only want to hide the OSK when the text widget loses focus. So implementing this may stop the OSK from staying on screen after an app switch (assuming Unity8 does not SIGSTOP the app, in which case this is more pointless). But it won't solve the OSK staying on screen after you've finished entering text. That's the job of the input method's toolkit backend to signal that the input field is finished. If the only remaining purpose of this request is to hide the OSK on app switch, is it really necessary? Surely it's the shell's job to automatically hide the OSK on app switch... And surely if Unity8 is in the habit of SIGSTOP'ing apps when they lose focus then Xmir acting on loss of focus is impossible anyway. Because the Xmir process would be frozen. ** Changed in: xorg-server (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1582471 Title: Add focus/unfocus event passing for Xmir non-rootless mode To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg-server/+bug/1582471/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1582309] Re: Example e-mail address is pointless
For the reasons cited above, I think we shouldn’t use placeholder text for any field, except when we’re extremely short on space *and* text is vital to understand the field. The former is never the case in a scrollable dialog like this one: we can use a label and/or a caption instead. I doubt any of those placeholders improve understanding except for “At least 8 characters”. That should be a caption below the field instead (with the benefit that it could turn the error color if you unfocused the field non-empty without satisfying the requirement). -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1582309 Title: Example e-mail address is pointless To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubuntuone-credentials/+bug/1582309/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 913434] Re: ImageIO crashes (core dumped) while reading many image files
This bug is marked as fixed in OpenJDK (version 2.6.2 of IcedTea should depend on LittleCMS 2.6), however in Trusty we have openjdk-7-jre- headless version 7u101-2.6.6-0ubuntu0.14.04.1 with IcedTea 2.6.6 but liblcms2-2 is still at version 2.5 (precisely 2.5-0ubuntu4.1). [Bug 1579544] Re: vmhgfs-fuse inconsistencies cause Git index corruption and Bus Error crashes; older vmhgfs was fine
I am using this patch to fix the specific problem with rename() which looks like a clear bug no matter what the cache behaviour. In trivial tests, Git has started behaving after this. I haven't stress tested it to see if other cache consistency issues still cause problems. This patch doesn't fix cache consistency in general, and it doesn't address other changes from vmhgfs such as less control over file permissions than before. If it's going to use a fixed cache timeouts without checking, it should probably do what NFS does: close-to-open consistency and unlock-to-lock consistency, which applications have historically been ok with. --- open-vm-tools-10.0.7-3227872/vmhgfs-fuse/main.c~ 2016-02-16 20:06:49.0 + +++ open-vm-tools-10.0.7-3227872/vmhgfs-fuse/main.c 2016-05-09 05:56:59.423936135 +0100 @@ -622,6 +622,7 @@ hgfs_rename(const char *from, //IN: fro res = HgfsRename(absfrom, absto); HgfsInvalidateAttrCache(absfrom); + HgfsInvalidateAttrCache(absto); exit: LOG(4, ("Exit(%d)\n", res)); -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1579544 Title: vmhgfs-fuse inconsistencies cause Git index corruption and Bus Error crashes; older vmhgfs was fine To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/open-vm-tools/+bug/1579544/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. The issue you are reporting is an upstream one and it would be nice if somebody having it could send the bug to the developers of the software by following the instructions at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/Upstream/GNOME. [Bug 1582617] Comment bridged from LTC Bugzilla
--- Comment From heinz-werner_se...@de.ibm.com 2016-05-17 05:14 EDT--- Following problem was discovered using JSCH to access Ubuntu guests on system z remotely. Using "exec" based sessions with JSCH, every once in a while we get back an empty string as output to a command that should return output. For example "which mkdir". The results are random and this can happen on any command. i was able to reproduce with and without JSCH. With JSCH: simply running the "echo offer" command 400 times. in average it will return an empty string 4 times out of the 400 tries. without JSCH: running the command: ssh name@ip_address 'bash -c echo offer' this will always return an empty string... running the same command with date works fine: ssh name@ip_address 'bash -c date' It seems to be the same problem but not 100% sure. The usage of JSH, which is required is the blocking problem of major test scenarios of a product. ** Changed in: ubuntu Assignee: (unassigned) => Skipper Bug Screeners (skipper-screen-team) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1582617 Title: Add oprofile support for z13 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1582617/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1574020] Re: Can't use networkmanager from lightdm
@seb128: I did some debugging. While this https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingNetworkManager was outdated, I suspect since systemd, it was not so easy. I did found out though, that when changing to tty1-6 and loggin in, then changing to tty7 I can use networkmanager from lightdm. But not before loggin in. Do you know how to debug with systemd?
