[Bug 1370707] Re: Plymouth does not display the graphical boot splash
Just because the kernel does something differently doesn't mean it's a kernel bug. There's clearly a relevant bug in plymouth that I reported to plymouth upstream two months ago ( https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=87993 ) but forgot to mention here. Since there has been no response to that report, maybe it's time to fix the bug in ubuntu's plymouth package. ** Bug watch added: freedesktop.org Bugzilla #87993 https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=87993 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1370707 Title: Plymouth does not display the graphical boot splash To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/plymouth/+bug/1370707/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1427444] Re: gramps -i FILE doesn't use temp db as documented
Yes it looks like the manpage should be updated. The removal of the .gramps directory is not necessary to reproduce it. Basically, if gramps is run with the -i option without specifying a database to import into with the -o option, a new database is created with the name "Family Tree 1". If you do the same command again, a new database is created called "Family Tree 2". These databases are not temporary, and do not get deleted (which I think is a desirable behaviour!). ** Changed in: gramps (Ubuntu) Status: New => Confirmed -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1427444 Title: gramps -i FILE doesn't use temp db as documented To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gramps/+bug/1427444/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 584632]
Coming back to the suggestion from comment #25 and looking in nsFrame::HandlePress. I traced it down into ns[Text]Frame::GetChildFrameContainingOffset with a call stack of: nsFrame::GetChildFrameContainingOffset *or* nsTextFrame::GetChildFrameContainingOffset nsFrameSelection::GetFrameForNodeOffset nsFrameSelection::BidiLevelFromClick nsFrameSelection::HandleClick nsFrame::HandlePress It varies whether nsFrame::GetChildFrameContainingOffset or nsTextFrame::GetChildFrameContainingOffset is being called depending on whether you click on the text, but almost to the left of the text, or completely to the left of the text. When the nsTextFrame::GetChildFrameContainingOffsetAny version is called, it offset is calculated correctly and the font is right. When the nsFrame::GetChildFrameContainingOffset is called, the font is wrong. In the latter case the caret still appears behind the text. Try it with a wide letter, like "m"! So in case a "Frame" being hit instead of a "TextFrame", perhaps the program should look whether there is a text right before the caret once placed. Here some debug showing the two cases: === before BidiLevelFromClick === in nsTextFrame::GetChildFrameContainingOffset nsTextFrame::GetChildFrameContainingOffset, offset=3 === after BidiLevelFromClick === before BidiLevelFromClick === in nsFrame::GetChildFrameContainingOffset === after BidiLevelFromClick Any further hints? [Bug 1389843] Re: Remove gpxviewer from vivid
gpxviewer depending on the old version of osmgpsmap (0.7.3) is still blocking the new osmgpsmap (1.0.2) from leaving vivid-proposed. [Bug 1327753] Re: FTBFS: hwloc-contrib 1.9-1 build-depends on unavailable package libxnvctrl-dev
I had a go at merging the changes from 343.22-1 in Debian experimental. The result is available in my PPA: https://launchpad.net/~ginggs/+archive/ubuntu/arm-testing and the debdiff is attached. The armhf build runs fine on an NVIDIA Jetson TK1 board. Moving forward, I think it would be easier to maintain if we started with the Debian packaging (I think it can be used with only minor changes to debian/control) and then merged in the Ubuntu patches. [Bug 1427942] Re: 15.04 Beta, Toshiba Z835/ThinkPad T420s, suspend on lid close does not work.
I managed to got it to work, after playing with the e1000e driver as suggested on https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?pid=1414261#p1414261 The current state is: - doing nothing, e1000e loaded, it never goes to suspend when I close the lid (tried 5 times) - removing e1000e, goes to suspend when I close the lid - doing nothing, e1000e removed, it again cannot go to suspend when I close the lid - loading e1000e, goes to suspend when I close the lid And of course, manually suspending does work.
