[Bug 1299790] Re: [Apple Inc. MacBookAir4, 1] suspend/resume failure [non-free: wl]
OK, it happened on 3.14. Confirmed that, as with the first time, the pattern was close lid (observe backlight goes off, then momentarily flashes on again) *then* plug in power; the next morning, unplug power, open lid. *Keyboard* backlight is on, screen does not wake. ** Tags added: kernel-bug-exists-upstream -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1299790 Title: [Apple Inc. [Bug 1301211] [NEW] Bluetooth not working on Thinkpad T430
Public bug reported: Fresh install of 14.04 final beta. When I tried to pair my bluetooth devices (Apple wireless keyboard and trackpad) yesterday I got mixed results. I could pair the keyboard after a couple of tries, but I also got a kernel oops. Not sure if this happened when pairing the keyboard or the trackpad, the bug report with the automatically generated logs can be found here: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1300698 After a restart today bluetooth seems to have stopped working completely. The indicator applet is grayed out and I can't connect the paired keyboard. Trying to switch on bluetooth in the indicator applet's menu changes the status slider, but apparently nothing else (keyboard still blinking, probably searching for a connection). When I try to switch on bluetooth in the system settings the status slider there changes to "on" for a moment, then reverts back to "off". Restarting the bluetooth service in /etc/init.d does not help, either. P.f.a. the output in /var/log/syslog from both actions. ** Affects: linux (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Attachment added: "bluetooth_log.txt" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1301211/+attachment/4060174/+files/bluetooth_log.txt -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1301211 Title: Bluetooth not working on Thinkpad T430 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1301211/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1301225] [NEW] Parts of Text disappear in Firefox and Thunderbird Editors /Text Areas
Public bug reported: System info: Firefox 28 Thunderbird 24.4.0 Ubuntu 13.10 64 bit When I edit text in Firefox or Thunderbird, parts of this text (usually entire rows above the cursor) seem to disappear while I type. This happens e.g. when I edit an email message inThunderbird, or edit a Jira comment or a Wikipedia page in Firefox. Sometimes the 'opposite' happens, i.e. a row is copied, so it is shown twice. The text is not really gone; I can restore it by selecting it (e.g. with Ctrl-a). I.e. only the text display is affected. The behavior is not quite reproducible. It does happen frequently, but I can't reproduce it exactly by typing the same text again. [Bug 1301245] [NEW] System unresponsive under (IO/memory?) load
Public bug reported: Tasks producing a lot of IO activity and/or use large amount of memory (uncompressing a .tar.gz file, starting a VM in virtualbox) starve the rest of the system. The system is responding to user input very slowly (jerky mouse pointer movement with >1s intervals etc). I have not seen that issue on previous Ubuntu versions, this is the first time I use a 64 bit system with full disk encryption. 64bit Xubuntu 13.10. Full disk encryption. 4GB memory. [Bug 1300936] Re: weird results from HUD
I believe this is actually a bug presentation of the results in the Unity shell. Some quick debugging in HUD reveals that "enter" does, indeed, have the single, correct, result: QUERY = ("enter") suggestion "Enter Location… (Go)" It seems like the Unity widget that presents the results doesn't always handle resizing to only having a single result.
