Confirmed - Installing 'xscreensaver' alone will NOT fix the issue. Confirmed - the workaround on this post: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/lxsession/+bug/1205384/comments/35 Has solved the issue for me. Same here. I have recently installed 13.10 on two laptops (both different types). It was a fresh installation, no upgrade. I have this issue on both laptops. I cannot really say when it happens. But I never can interact anymore. Public bug reported: When running VirtualBox or Remmina full screen on one screen of a dual- monitor desktop, the other screen is not refreshed properly. On the 'host desktop' often incomplete renderings of windows or residual graphical artifacts are visible. Also the computer seems unresponsive, not rendering menus or the dash eventhough iḿ frantically clicking around in it.
