[Bug 1248837] Re: update-resolv-conf/resolvconf dns leaks from ISP
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. It seems that your bug report is not filed about a specific source package though, rather it is just filed against Ubuntu in general. It is important that bug reports be filed about source packages so that people interested in the package can find the bugs about it. You can find some hints about determining what package your bug might be about at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/FindRightPackage. You might also ask for help in the #ubuntu-bugs irc channel on Freenode. To change the source package that this bug is filed about visit https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1248837/+editstatus and add the package name in the text box next to the word Package. [Bug 1184451] Re: Ubuntu 13.10 random screen freeze while Normal OS activites
Same here. I have recently installed 13.10 on two laptops (both different types). It was a fresh installation, no upgrade. I have this issue on both laptops. I cannot really say when it happens. It just happens randomly. Sometimes it just freezes, but I still can move the mouse. Sometimes it starts with graphic errors (not showing parts of a program properly). But I never can interact anymore. [Bug 1248873] [NEW] Screen rendering issues with full screen virtualbox or remmina
Public bug reported: When running VirtualBox or Remmina full screen on one screen of a dual- monitor desktop, the other screen is not refreshed properly. On the 'host desktop' often incomplete renderings of windows or residual graphical artifacts are visible. Also the computer seems unresponsive, not rendering menus or the dash eventhough iḿ frantically clicking around in it. On the 'guest desktop' often an invisible unity bar is present which results in advertently launching apps on the host machine. - I'm using ubuntu 13.04 (this bug was also present on 12.04, 12.10, but less pervasive) with all the latest patches - The guests i'm using are virtualbox-4.3.2-90405 with the guest extensions etc. properly installed and Remmina-1.0.0-4ubuntu2. - The guest desktop and host desktop have different resolutions. I think this has to do with unity and compiz related libraries, but i'm no expert on this... ** Affects: remmina (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Attachment added: "Screenshot showing on the left the host with residual graphical artifacts and on the right a virtualbox guest desktop." https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1248873/+attachment/3902212/+files/Screenshot%20from%202013-11-07%2009%3A33%3A49.png -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1248873 Title: Screen rendering issues with full screen virtualbox or remmina To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/remmina/+bug/1248873/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1248880] [NEW] spends lots of time spinning on D-BUS when ofono restarts
Public bug reported: This got exposed when we started to use ofono-phonesim-autostart for the dialer/messaging-app tests. Reproducer: sudo restart ofono Expected result: indicator-network notices that ofono goes off the system D-BUS, listens for an event when it comes back, and reconnects. this should take no noticeable amount of CPU Actual result: indicator-network-service spends several seconds up to several minutes taking 70% CPU, with a tight loop spinning on trying to talk to ofono. @Christopher: sorry, there is no option to disable this card in BIOS of my laptop. ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete => Confirmed ** Description changed: With using Kernel 3.8 and newer sometimes I have a kernel OOPS at startup and it seems it's because I switch off my ATI card. This needs to be fixed in pango/harfbuzz. (LP: #1239381) * Get the current char before moving on to the next char!. [ Marco Trevisan (Treviño) ] * UnityScreen: also redraw the HudView if it has not been fully damaged. (LP: #1240322) * OverlayRenderer: only and correctly initialize the BGLayer when not on GLSL codepath Make sure we set the initial bg_layer_ value to the average color, and do this only if really needed. (LP: #1232726) * Launcher: desaturate the inactive icons when in Spread mode. (LP: #1238892, #1238638) * LauncherIcon: add MultiMonitor quirks support A quirk can be now set for all monitors or for just one. (LP: #1051913, #1215738, #1240750, #1240737) * UnityScreen: CreateSuperNewAction with Shift and Numpad for launcher This fixes the bug that caused Super+Shift+KP_x not to work as it should. (LP: #1240806) * AnimationUtils: add Start, Skip and SetValue methods These allows to start an animation, to skip it or to just set its value. The templates now are more intelligent and we define the values that can assume just once, by specializing a StartValueForDirection function. * Support libxpathselect1.4. (LP: #1243529) * LauncherIcon: use nux::Animation for each Quirk property Update Launcher and Icons code accordingly, get rid of the timespec. Remove unneded Quirks, reduce redraws and update tests. * Invalidate the Icon Centers when the monitor layout changes, so we make sure that if an icon center is set, then the icon is available on that monitor. Added GetCenterForMonitor that allows to retrieve the nearest valid icon center for a given monitor, and in this way we can get the best icon that can handle a window minimization. (LP: #767752) [ Lars Uebernickel ] * panel-service.c: don't warn about unknown image type unnecessarily Don't warn about indicators that explicitely don't have an image set. However, continue warning when the set image is of an unknown type. [ Chris Townsend ] * Instead of using NeedSoftRedraw(), use QueueDraw() for the Launcher and Panel to force a redraw to fix issue where leaving a full screen unredirected window would not redraw the Launcher and Panel. (LP: #1240595) [ Eleni Maria Stea ] * Added --compiz-path parameter to the unity startup script. It allows us to start unity with custom builds of compiz (not only /usr/bin/compiz) like that: ./unity --compiz-path custom_compiz_build_directory/bin/compiz --replace ccp. [Bug 767752] Re: Unity Windows return to the wrong place in multi-moniter
This bug was fixed in the package unity - 7.1.2+14.04.20131106.1-0ubuntu1 --- unity (7.1.2+14.04.20131106.1-0ubuntu1) trusty; urgency=low [ Ted Gould ] * Clean up NIH Errors so they don't get reported on exit. (LP: #1236720) [ Brandon Schaefer ] * Workaround for now, replace all blacklisted chars in the results name with a '?'. So we can still render all the results with out a crash. [ Francis Ginther ] * Reverting support for libxpathselect1.4.
