[Bug 1035755] Re: [firefox] Extension causes context/drop down menus to disappear

2013-09-05 Thread Adam Porter
Thank you, Joseph. This should be made the default for all package
upgrades and new installs until this bug is conclusively fixed.

By the way, using libdbusmenu-qt2 0.9.2+13.10.20130826-0ubuntu1 (version
number bloat, anyone?) from Saucy has NOT fixed the bug. After a few
hours, the menus have stopped working again, immediately after I opened
a menu from the add-on bar. The menu's outline is visible for a split
second longer than it was when it was failing before, but it still
fails, and I still have to restart Firefox.

[Bug 1221040] Re: Sync wordpress 3.5.2 (universe) from Debian stable-security

2013-09-05 Thread Jeremy Bicha
** Summary changed:

- Please update wordpress to 3.5.2
+ Sync wordpress 3.5.2 (universe) from Debian stable-security

** Tags added: sync

** Description changed:

WordPress only maintains a single stable release (like Google Chrome)
and doesn't backport bug fixes or security fixes to old releases.

Debian has recently released WordPress 3.5.2, the latest security
update, to both Debian Wheezy and Squeeze. Since we're in sync with
Debian, we should just backport their packages.

  3.5.2+dfsg-1~deb7u1 to quantal and raring
3.5.2+dfsg-1~deb6u1 to precise (the deb7 package needs newer packages than
are available for precise)

I recently upgraded libreoffice to 4.1. I remember that exporting an ODG
to EPS was no problem (I think imagemagick's convert was used then).
However, that does not work. I get 'Graphics filter not found', however
I don't know how to fix it. I can't find any use flags or libreoffice
extensions. Any idea ?

[Bug 261595]

2013-09-05 Thread J B
Hi Irving, thanks for the review.
For some reason I did not get/read the notification email from Mozilla.
I, too, noticed that there are other places which would deserve attention and
use of a similar function. However, I would prefer this patch to go through
first, and that we make another bug to (1) identify those code segments/files,
(2) discuss the appropriate solution for each and, then, (3) write a patch,
which I can help with.
So I would ask for this patch to go through as is, since you indicated it is ok.

[Bug 1075009] Re: Building dependencies can't be resolved

2013-09-05 Thread Ana
Hi there,

in a Kubuntu 13.04 amd64 box I've made a chroot in order to compile
wine 1.7.1 ... then when sending :# apt-get build-dep wine

I am getting :

 Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done

Picking 'wine1.6' as source package instead of 'wine'

The following packages have unmet dependencies:

libsane-dev : Depends: libtiff5-dev but it is not going to be installed

E: Build-dependencies for wine could not be satisfied.

I think it is related to this bug ... ... Am I wrong ???

[Bug 1213887] Re: Bridge does not work i ubuntu 12.04 - kernel 3.5.0-37

2013-09-05 Thread Søren Laursen
Tried to make some reduced testcases:

The test is done on:
Linux kvm07 3.11.0-031100rc6-generic #201308181835 SMP Sun Aug 18 22:35:54 UTC
2013 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
Later I tested it on Linux kvm07 3.11.0-031100-generic #201309021735 SMP Mon
Sep 2 21:36:21 UTC 2013 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux, the problems was not
solved.

eth3 - testlan
driver: tg3
version: 3.132
firmware-version: 5719-v1.31 NCSI v1.1.15.0
bus-info: :03:00.3
supports-statistics: yes
supports-test: yes
supports-eeprom-access: yes
supports-register-dump: yes

eth4 - vlan280
driver: be2net
version: 4.6.62.0u
firmware-version: 4.2.401.605
bus-info: :24:00.0
supports-statistics: yes
supports-test: yes
supports-eeprom-access: yes
supports-register-dump: no

Small kvm scripts:
sudo tunctl -u root -t tap42
sudo brctl addif vlan280 tap42
sudo ip link set tap42 up
sudo kvm -hda vdisk.img -cdrom /srv/ganeti/iso/linux-secure-13.04-64bit.iso -m
1024 -net nic -net tap,ifname=tap42,script=no -boot d

sudo tunctl -u root -t tap42
sudo brctl addif vlan280 tap42
sudo ip link set tap42 up
sudo kvm -hda vdisk.img -cdrom /srv/ganeti/iso/ubuntu-rescue-remix-11-10.iso -m
1024 -net nic -net tap,ifname=tap42,script=no -boot d

sudo tunctl -u root -t tap42
sudo brctl addif vlan280 tap42
sudo ip link set tap42 up
sudo kvm -hda vdisk.img -cdrom
/srv/ganeti/iso/clonezilla-live-2.1.1-7-amd64.iso -m 1024 -net nic -net
tap,ifname=tap42,script=no -boot d

Then I testet it on testlan (tg3 device), the testlan is on the same network at
vlan280
All the test working
sudo tunctl -u root -t tap43
sudo brctl addif testlan tap43xit
sudo ip link set tap43 up
sudo kvm -hda vdisk.img -cdrom /srv/ganeti/iso/linux-secure-13.04-64bit.iso -m
1024 -net nic -net tap,ifname=tap43,script=no -boot d

sudo tunctl -u root -t tap43
sudo brctl addif testlan tap43
sudo ip link set tap43 up
sudo kvm -hda vdisk.img -cdrom /srv/ganeti/iso/ubuntu-rescue-remix-11-10.iso -m
1024 -net nic -net tap,ifname=tap43,script=no -boot d

sudo tunctl -u root -t tap43
sudo brctl addif testlan tap43
sudo ip link set tap43 up
sudo kvm -hda vdisk.img -cdrom
/srv/ganeti/iso/clonezilla-live-2.1.1-7-amd64.iso -m 1024 -net nic -net
tap,ifname=tap43,script=no -boot d

Change the two network cards, that is testlan moved to eth4, vlan280
moved to eth3

Nothing worked at vlan280 and nothing worked at testlan. We could not
get at dhcp working on vlan280 (eth3 - tg3) driver.

The bridge setup is as followed, with or without the mac address setup, the
result is the same. And I remember to change it when change the bridge_ports.
The other 10Gbit interface is used to do drbd and is working without problems.

auto vlan280
iface vlan280 inet static
  address 10.230.80.26
  netmask 255.255.255.0
  gateway 10.230.80.1
  dns-search fcoo.dk
  dns-nameservers 10.230.80.11 10.230.80.12
  bridge_ports eth3
  bridge_maxwait 0
  bridge_fd 0
  bridge_stp off
  post-up ip link set vlan280 address ac:16:2d:7b:35:4f

#
# TEST VLAN

auto eth4
iface eth4 inet manual

#

[Bug 1174275] Re: Random system freeze in 13.04

2013-09-05 Thread flanagan
I can confirm that the freezes and some other buggy things have been
absent for a few days now since I also recompiled the patched 64-bit
driver. Before that, I would get 2-5 complete system freezes a day
(mostly when on battery power) on 64-bit Ubuntu 13.04. The other
annoying thing that has so far gone away since the re-compile are random
disconnects (especially when another device with a non-Broadcom card
came nearby (like our other laptop or a Kindle Fire HD). The Broadcom
card would sometimes, but not always disconnect. Then it would never
again connect until a soft reboot of our router was done. So far so
good.

There's even a new annoyance;

ubuntu-12.04.3-desktop-amd64.iso

has a renamed kernel; the old

\casper\vmlinuz

is now called

\casper\vmlinuz.efi

forcing to edit all the working scripts and menus "only" for the 12.04.3
amd64 version...

[Bug 1219954] Re: Slow startup of lightDM in Ubuntu 13.04

2013-09-05 Thread Ro
I don know what you exactly mean by the Raring kernel.

I tried to boot in an older version of the kernel, 3.2.0.41 generic. The
login screen is indeed shown after some seconds, however it was smaller
than the monitor, and after login only the background was shown also
smaller than the monitor. No launcher and no top menu/system tray was
shown. The printer driver, normally displayed in the system tray,
displayed an message “No system tray detected on this system”. So back
to text mode and reboot. First shutdown now command stops after modem-
manager messages. Second shutdown now command gives and failed on
killing all remaining processes and stops. Hard reset needed.

Rebooted using the newest kernel, wait one minute and login. no launcher
and no top menu/system tray was shown. So back to text mode and reboot.

Rebooted using the newest kernel, wait one minute and login with a
different user. This worked fine, until shutdown the system. It ask for
conformation, however mouse clicks and enter key had no effect. So back
to text mode and reboot.

Hope this info helps, as I spent a considerable time to produce this,
and will need to spend considerable time to restore the system.

It's a specification approved as "proposed standard" by the IETF. Just
like many other things the internet runs on.

[Bug 240133]

2013-09-05 Thread Sylvhem
I think this is a very useful feature. When you save a webpage with a
view to read it outline or later, it is more convenient to have a single
file.

(In reply to Lance Baker from comment #87)
> MHTML is not an approved standard. It is a Microsoft idea that other browser
> developers have followed.
Among the authors of the RFC2557, only one works for Microsoft. Moreover, it is
not like if MHTML is a closed file format: the specification is public and part
of IETF's work.

[Bug 745505]

2013-09-05 Thread Brusselsguy+bz
Hi, I own a device with this reader and would like to help to get it
supported. I am not a developer, but capable of entering console
commands, testing an output, modifying a config file, compiling in a
kernel module. I could also create a clean account that a developer
could tunnel into if that helps. Let me know if i can help.

Using Libreoffice Writer 4.1 (directly from ppa:libreoffice/ppa) on Ubuntu
12.04 64bit.
I tried opening an existing .odt text file with tiff images imported as links.
The imported images would not show. Instead only an empty and flickering frame
showed up.
Also, I could not import new tiff files, either embedded in the document, or as
links. When I tried (Insert --> Picture --> From file) I would get a "Filter
not found" message.

However, other image formats (I tried png and jpg) could be correctly
imported.

I downgraded to version 4.0 from ppa:libreoffice/libreoffice-4-0 and now
it all works just fine [Version 4.0.4.2 (Build ID: 400m0(Build:2)].

sudo apt-get remove libreoffice*
sudo apt-get autoremove
sudo add-apt repository sudo add-apt-repository ppa:libreoffice/libreoffice-4-0
sudo apt-get updatesudo
apt-get install libreoffice

Tiff import of your test file (Insert --> Picture --> From file) works
fine on 4.1.0.4 using Win7 64bit.

is there any other Linux user who can test?

Thank you for your bug report, I CAN'T reproduce this bug running Version:
4.1.1.2
Build ID: 7e4286b58adc75a14f6d83f53a03b6c11fa2903 on Mac osx 10.8.4.

but
version: 4.1.0.4
Build ID: 410m0(Build:4) on Linux Mint 15
So it is a Linux only bug & a regression because you said it was working in
version 4.0.x. (with I didn't test)

Bjoern, seems reporter is using Ubuntu PPA - perhaps a packaging bug?

Debian is not hit by this in 4.0 and 4.1. Digging further, this seems to be an
upstream regression with enable-mergedlibs, which Debian is not using, but
Ubuntu does in both 4.0 and 4.1.
