[Bug 1066410] Re: lightdm doesn't load correctly on Ubuntu 12.10
I am disappointed I can't close the bug. The problem still persists. The reinstallation of lightdm package affected only first 3 boots after the procedure, but it no longer seems to make any effect. In addition, I've noticed that my mouse pointer is not only visible on virtual terminal 7, but also on every other terminals. How could that be so? However, I can't use the mouse on vt1 through 6. I now assume everything works correctly except the fact I can't see anything (only a cursor) and the cursor is visible on all virtual terminals independently. I can login in lightdm even though I don't see anything, even after unity loads. (lightdm, xorg, compiz - those all works, but for some reason I've got almost blank screen on vt7). To get my screen working I have to either kill lightdm and then start it again, or login through lightdm I don't see and then kill the gnome- session. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1066410 Title: lightdm doesn't load correctly on Ubuntu 12.10 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/lightdm/+bug/1066410/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1058523] Re: Software center page changes add between 2 and 6 meg to the memory size
I (finally) managed to find one of the sources for this problem. It looks like our "sotware-center.css" file causes some css that has a memory leak to be drawn. [Bug 659444] Re: HP Pavilion DV6 Wifi Button Red/Blue blinking
Peter Roos, thank you for reporting this and helping make Ubuntu better. Maverick reached EOL on April 10, 2012. Please see this document for currently supported Ubuntu releases: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Releases We were wondering if this is still an issue in a supported release? If so, could you please test for this with the latest development release of Ubuntu? ISO CD images are available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/releases/ . If it remains an issue, could you please run the following command in the development release from a Terminal (Applications->Accessories->Terminal), as it will automatically gather and attach updated debug information to this report: apport-collect -p linux Also, could you please test the latest upstream kernel available following https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds ? It will allow additional upstream developers to examine the issue. Please do not test the kernel in the daily folder, but the one all the way at the bottom. Once you've tested the upstream kernel, please comment on which kernel version specifically you tested and remove the tag: needs-upstream-testing This can be done by clicking on the yellow pencil icon next to the tag located at the bottom of the bug description and deleting the text: needs-upstream-testing If this bug is fixed in the mainline kernel, please add the following tags: kernel-fixed-upstream kernel-fixed-upstream-VERSION-NUMBER where VERSION-NUMBER is the version number of the kernel you tested. If the mainline kernel does not fix this bug, please add the following tags: kernel-bug-exists-upstream kernel-bug-exists-upstream-VERSION-NUMBER where VERSION-NUMBER is the version number of the kernel you tested. [Bug 301958] Re: no support for sis 671/771 video cards
Hello I have been trying to compile the old driver, modified over and over on 12.10. I succeeded to compile it, but the modifications were too many, and the driver does not work properly. Why are we in need of so many modifications? xorg 1.3.0 widthdrawed XAA acceleration, just EXA is supported, and the code was not ready in terms of function structure together with defines to be used withou XAA. I will keep you posted as soon as I have some news. [Bug 660380] Re: 855gm and kernel 2.6.35-22.34 mouse cursor invisible
Vladimir Psenicka, thank you for reporting this and helping make Ubuntu better. If you are unable to test the mainline kernel, please comment as to why specifically you were unable to test it and add the following tags: kernel-unable-to-test-upstream kernel-unable-to-test-upstream-VERSION-NUMBER where VERSION-NUMBER is the version number of the kernel you tested. [Bug 1067204]
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. It seems that your bug report is not filed about a specific source package though, rather it is just filed against Ubuntu in general. It is important that bug reports be filed about source packages so that people interested in the package can find the bugs about it. You can find some hints about determining what package your bug might be about at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/FindRightPackage. You might also ask for help in the #ubuntu-bugs irc channel on Freenode. To change the source package that this bug is filed about visit https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1067204/+editstatus and add the package name in the text box next to the word Package. [Bug 664717] Re: touchpad on/off hotkeys do not work anymore after upgrading to Maverick 10.10
Laurent Martin-Borret, thank you for reporting this and helping make Ubuntu better.
