[Bug 773154] Re: 168c:002b Atheros AR9285 extremely slow & unstable
Luca Manzari, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? If so, could you please test for this with the latest development release of Ubuntu? ISO CD images are available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/releases/ . If it remains an issue, could you please run the following command in the development release from a Terminal (Applications->Accessories->Terminal), as it will automatically gather and attach updated debug information to this report: apport-collect -p linux Also, could you please test the latest upstream kernel available? It will allow additional upstream developers to examine the issue. Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Please do not test the kernel in the daily folder, but the one all the way at the bottom. Once you've tested the upstream kernel, please remove the 'needs-upstream- testing' tag. This can be done by clicking on the yellow pencil icon next to the tag located at the bottom of the bug description and deleting the 'needs-upstream-testing' text. As well, please comment on which kernel version specifically you tested. If this bug is fixed in the mainline kernel, please add the following tag 'kernel-fixed-upstream'. If the mainline kernel does not fix this bug, please add the tag: 'kernel-bug-exists-upstream'. If you are unable to test the mainline kernel, for example it will not boot, please add the tag: 'kernel-unable-to-test-upstream', and comment as to why specifically you were unable to test it. Please let us know your results. Thanks in advance. [Bug 774891] Re: No touchscreen pressure reported on Asus EeePC T101MT
Stefan Löffler, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. [Bug 775543] Re: xhci_hcd: Timeout while waiting for a slot - Issue with USB3 hard disk on 11.04 x86_64
Toshe Bukov, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. [Bug 1030466] [NEW] [MacBook1, 1, SigmaTel STAC9221 A1, White Headphone Out, Left] No sound at all
Public bug reported: I just installed Ubuntu 12.4 and laptop speakers worked out of the box at first. Headphones do not work at all, and now that I tried to put them in, laptop speaker sound also ceased to function. Test sounds in sound settings are not audible. I do get the ubuntu startup sound on the login screen after I restart the computer, so it's not a physical problem. I tried to use alsamixer to unmute all channels without any effect at all. [Bug 779036] Re: natty-proposed kernel regression breaks suspend (to RAM, ACPI S3)
Matthias Andree, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? If so, could you please provide the information following https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingKernelSuspend ? As well, could you please test for this with the latest development release of Ubuntu? [Bug 888614] Re: Digikam does not show .mkv nor .thm files
Any progress on this? I have noticed the current version of digikam included in Ubuntu 12.04 has an option to add video file extensions, but adding .mkv here does not appear to have any effect. I think it is a bit dangerous to have digikam show a folder as empty when it actually contains video files. This can lead the user to delete an appearently empty folder/album. [Bug 1030474] [NEW] Executing an invalid command during an ed session causes it to exit with a non 0 error status.
Public bug reported: If an invalid command is executed while ed is being used interactively, the process will exit with a non 0 exit status, even if the editing session is successful. Steps to reproduce: 1. Open a text file using ed. 2. Immediately write the text file back to disk with the w command. 3. Now press enter until you attempt to display a line beyond the end of the text file (ed will display a ? to show you've entered an invalid command). 4. Now press q to exit ed. Note that even though you successfully saved the file and quit without making any further changes, ed still indicates an error occurred by exiting with status 1. This information is not relevant to the calling program when ed is being used as an interactive editor. This problem will also occur if you do something as simple as entering a letter that has no valid function, or by searching for a string that isn't found, or anything else that will cause ed to respond with ?. The problem becomes an issue when you are using ed to edit things like email messages, or crontabs, where the calling process expects to get a 0 return from the editor. Ed should only respond with a non 0 exit code when there was an actual problem reading or writing the file. This problem is not Ubuntu specific it occurs on other flavours of Linux using the GNU version of ed. [Bug 1024368] Re: Doesn't provide browser plugin
Melchiaros, If you thought that I meant that I reported it to Oracle then I apologize for the misunderstanding. I didn't report it upstream to oracle. I only provided the steps to reproduce. I am still not sure that this is an issue in the Oracle release. In order to test that, the Oracle release (the .tar.gz) could be installed according to their instructions. Then, if the bug didn't exist (there was a plugin available to Firefox, etc.) then this would appear to be a bug in make-jpkg. Otherwise, this could be straightened out quite quickly by having the developer of make-jpkg look at this issue. I think that you're probably wrong referring to "their (Oracle's) installation routine" because make-jpkg probably replaces their installation routine with Debian packaging. Hence the bug would be in make-jpkg. I also have this issue everytime using writer.
