[Bug 903904] Re: Kernel opps - kernel panic unknown cause
Just added the comment above and it crashed again. The screen freezes and the mouse and keyboard are unresponsive. Unfortunately, my other machine that listens to the netconsole was not on, so I missed the log. [Bug 903904] Re: Kernel opps - kernel panic unknown cause
Hi Brad, It's really difficult to know exactly. It did happen using 11.04 but I hav= e absolutely know idea about the kernel version when it started. My first = thought was hardware related so I when through various checks. Each time t= here is a crash there is no ssh connection, if I have music playing it cont= inues in a 1 second loop. Initially, I noticed that my master disk was not healthy, so I replaced it.= I cloned the data, is it possible that the disk image was corrupted and I= copied the problem to a new disk? I have upgraded the kernel to 11.10 sin= ce then. Looking at the logs does it look like a kernel problem or another applicati= on that could be causing the problem? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/903904 Title: Kernel opps - kernel panic unknown cause To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/903904/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 854347] Re: nvidia awake after suspend leaves blocks/noise on screen
apport information ** Tags added: apport-collected compiz-0.9 oneiric regression-update running-unity ubuntu ** Description changed: For the past 2 weeks, the Ubuntu 11.10 beta has not awoken from suspend correctly on a Thinkpad T61 (nvidia). On wake from suspend, the screen background has static multicolored "noise" pixels and opaque white blocks stairstepped across it. The menu bar and launcher display correctly. But dialog boxes drawn over the main desktop have the noise (or are partially obscured if behind the white blocks). @Ti: you're facing a different bug, which does appear to be more serious. [Bug 904152] [NEW] gnome-settings-daemon crashes on start
Public bug reported: gnome-settings-daemon crashed on my computer. I am running Precise - Ubuntu 12.04. I have almost no control of my keyboard and mouse. The version of gnome-settings-daemon I am (not) running is 3.2.2-0ubuntu5. What I expected is for my computer to respond to clicks on buttons or slides. I cannot use the mouse to close windows. I am making my way through this form by using the tab key. For all intents and purposes, I cannot use my computer as is.
