[Bug 804435] Re: Wallpaper is loaded twice with different alignment by gnome-session and nautilus (Oneiric)
@Alberto left margin seems small, just few pixels.. anyway it is not the only movement and stretch of wallpaper. I made a video to explain the issue better, it is a bit slow becuase it is in a virtualmachine, from 0:36 to the end is relevant. Florian told me a couple of days ago on irc that these issues are different, sincerly things are not so clear for me. if you need anything else, i'm here! ** Attachment added: "unity-1.ogv" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nautilus/+bug/804435/+attachment/2355992/+files/unity-1.ogv -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/804435 Title: Wallpaper is loaded twice with different alignment by gnome-session and nautilus (Oneiric) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/unity-2d/+bug/804435/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 816358] Re: Latest 11.10a2 fails with GLX under VB
Hi, This issue appears to still persist with Ubuntu 11.10beta1. It appears to be a regression from Ubuntu 11.04 which runs compiz just fine under the same VirtualBox 4.1.2. I also get frequent crashes from the 2D panel now (you might want to try running it under VB). Any clues as to why 3D support is rejected with 11.10beta1 (while allowed in 11.04)? [Bug 841595] [NEW] lock screen wallpaper does not track session wallpaper change

[Bug 184721] Re: linux-source-2.6.22-2.6.22 ships with deprecated asus_acpi.ko
wonder about the actual kernel settings as asus_acpi is blacklisted (oneiric) found this on: http://en.gentoo-wiki.com/wiki/Asus_P5W_DH_Deluxe For kernels 2.6.31 and above the w83627ehf driver conflicts with ACPI. The asus_atk0110 driver should be used instead. To prevent ACPI from stealing I/O ports, and then reuse the w83627ehf driver and restore the old behavior (which might be dangerous), add acpi_enforce_resources=lax to the kernel cmdline when booting. Warning: You MUST understand that using the old behavior can be harmful for your hardware. Actually, having two drivers working on the same I/O ports can set unattended values to voltage controls. Note: Using the asus_atk0110 gives nice results for reading/monitoring, but this driver does not have any fan control ability. Also, at least sys-apps/lm_sensors-3.1.0 is required to support this driver (current stable portage version is 3.1.2) ** Changed in: module-init-tools (Ubuntu) Status: Invalid => New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/184721 Title: linux-source-2.6.22-2.6.22 ships with deprecated asus_acpi.ko To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/linux/+bug/184721/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 684599] Re: Memory leak in nm-applet
I got this bug in Natty with 0.8.4~git.20110318t152954.9c4c9a0-0ubuntu1 Anyway I'm just telling people to use wicd, it is so much better for everyday use. NM was never good enough even for simple network setup, few years ago it was better to configure everything manually, now it is still better to use wicd or something else that works.I cannot understand why have you taken NM into Ubuntu? Just because it has nice gnome-applet and palsma-applet in KDE? [Bug 840433] Re: Xorg gestures conflicts with uTouch
I tried #1, and what happens is that when you are pinching sideways, no scroll events are generated. When pinching vertically, scroll events are generated. This seems to be a bug in the part of X (or kernel driver?) that detects two finger scrolls. It is a bit tricky, though. Currently if you hold one finger and move the other, the second finger movement generates scrolls. This is similar to how OSX window drags and it seems quite sensible. Unfortunately the finger motion is indistinguishable from a pinch. The detector should do something like this: - when one finger is stationary and the other moves, generate scrolls according to the second finger - when both fingers move in the same direction, generate scrolls - when fingers move in opposite directions, do nothing #2 is possibly caused by bug 839379.
