[Bug 798044] [NEW] alt+f2 history function forgets some commands
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: unity I use multiple firefox profiles, so I start firefox with firefox --no- remote. Since its not possible to add this command to the unity bar I use alt+f2 and then run that command. I use this command every day, multiple times a day. But somehow unity cannot remember this command between reboots, which means I have to type it again and again. I'm not quite sure how to trigger this, the window does show many other command, even those I haven't used in ages. One of those is " firefox -P profile --no-remote", which apparently does not trigger the same bug in unity. If there is anything I can do to help clear this up, please let me know. [Bug 769927] Re: Kernel Oops : Dentry still in use (1) [unmount of nfs4 0:1d]
I can support that observation. It doesn't matter if you put heavy load on the nfs mounts. All that matters is that the nfs mounts are mounted via autofs and that you have a timeout to get the system automatically unmounting the shares. That's where the crash happens actually. Here I have in fact increased the timeout to 3600 seconds and the problem improves because the automounter is not frequently unmounting the share again. Indeed I have moved some of our automounted shares to use /etc/fstab instead and have them permanently mounted. Since then the crashes are very very rare and just happens for our /net/HOST shares. Please also note that it doesn't matter if the share is an nfs3 or nfs4 mount. All that is required is to have autofs mounting the NFS share and having it automatically unmounting it. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/769927 Title: Kernel Oops : Dentry still in use (1) [unmount of nfs4 0:1d] To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/769927/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 798047] [NEW] Two finger scrolling and right-clicking stops working when the "Synaptics Area" property is set.
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-input-synaptics On the Macbook Air 11", the clickpad has a resolution of 1280x800. Using the xinput command I can disable to bottom quarter for dedicated use as a button: xinput set-prop bcm5974 "Synaptics Area" 0 0 0 600 This works and touches in the bottom quarter are ignored. However with the above setting, two-finger scrolling and two-finger right-clicking stops working completely. Even when both fingers are in the active area (top 3 quarters). This bug only seems to occur when I mask out the bottom of the "Synaptics Area". Masking out the left, top or right does not trigger the bug and multi-touch continues to work. [Bug 798049] [NEW] nvidia-current needs to be migrated to per-architecture gl_conf alternative
Public bug reported: >From the mesa changelog: mesa (7.10.3-0ubuntu1) oneiric; urgency=low … * Merge multiarch support branch: - Declare Breaks: against old versions of xserver-xorg-core and libgl1-mesa-glx that will look for DRI modules only in /usr/lib/dri. - Fix up the maintainer scripts to transition to per-architecture alternatives for ld.so configs. - Declare Breaks: against nvidia-current, nvidia-173, and fglrx due to the migration of alternatives for the ld.so.conf snippets. - Use multiarch dirs for our dri module search path, with a fallback to /usr/lib/dri. - Use the right path for dh_shlibdeps. Hence libgl1-mesa-glx 7.10.3-0ubuntu1 Breaks: nvidia-current (<= 270.41.19-0ubuntu1). But since then, a new nvidia-current 275.09.07-0ubuntu1 was released that has not actually been migrated to the new per-architecture alternatives. That makes it impossible now to use mesa’s libGL while nvidia-current is installed. nvidia-current needs to be migrated, and the Breaks: version needs to be updated in libgl1-mesa-glx. Hendy Irawan, this must be an independnet bug. If you have a second printer, try setting it up on the machine where you have set up your LaserJet and check whether it gets shared to your second computer correctly. My LaserJet 1020 gets shared correctly. Report a separate bug on this. Attach the /etc/cups/cupsd.conf files of both client and server and the /etc/cups/printers.conf file of the server to that bug. [Bug 797764] Re: Document Viewer doesn't respect "Ubuntu Classic (no effects)"
Thank you for your bug report and taking the time to make Ubuntu better. The choice of "Ubuntu Classic (no effects)" has nothing to do with the overlay scrollbars -- all applications that use them under Unity will use them under Ubuntu Classic as well. Firefox and LibreOffice writer never use them (yet), so running Unity you would not see them as well. To remove the new scrollbars from all applications, you can remove the overlay-scrollbar package. ** Changed in: evince (Ubuntu) Status: New => Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/797764 Title: Document Viewer doesn't respect "Ubuntu Classic (no effects)" To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/evince/+bug/797764/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 792692] Re: Totem don't play MIDI files a second time
Hi, Would you be able to check if this works in the latest release of Ubuntu (11.04)? When I checked it there the behaviour was still wrong, but not as you described. What I found was that when playing any MIDI file the counter would keep going even after the end of the clip. The controls do not indicate that the playback has stopped (still a pause button there). Moving the slider back to beginning of the track makes it start playing for there again. --- Ubuntu Bug Squad volunteer triager http://wiki.ubuntu.com/BugSquad -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/792692 Title: Totem don't play MIDI files a second time To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/totem/+bug/792692/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
