[Bug 758465] [NEW] Sync audacious-plugins 2.4.4-1 (universe) from Debian unstable (main)

2011-04-12 Thread Bilal Akhtar
Public bug reported:

Please sync audacious-plugins 2.4.4-1 (universe) from Debian unstable
(main)

Bugfix-only upstream release, no ubuntu delta.

Changelog entries since current natty version 2.4.3-1:

audacious-plugins (2.4.4-1) unstable; urgency=low

  * New upstream release.
- Fix FTBFS with GCC 4.5 (Closes: #621989)
  * Upload to unstable.
  * debian/control:
- Update versioned dependencies according to upstream changes.
- Bump Standards-Version to 3.9.2 (no changes needed).
- Since the package will be building against the new FFMpeg libs,
fix the problem of depending on old uninstallable libav*
  packages (Closes: #617603)

[Bug 757387] Re: Unity freezes after one or two minutes after log-in

2011-04-12 Thread Walter Garcia-Fontes
The two crash reports that I got after logging back in, bugs 758462 and
758459 , I'm not sure if they are related to this one. The first one is
an Ubuntu One crash and the second one a gnome-disk-utility crash. A
duplicate of this second one has been marked as invalid because the use
had some stuff of Gnome 3, but I haven't messed around with Gnome 3 at
all, at least not consciously.

2011-04-12 Thread Alexander Olsson
I am having the exact same issue as described above, but using the
following:

* Ubuntu 10.10 (upgraded from 10.04, upgraded from 9.10, upgraded from 9.04
which was a fresh install).
* KVM (QEMU PC emulator version 0.12.5 (qemu-kvm-0.12.5), Copyright (c)

* Linux alexo 2.6.38 #2 SMP Mon Apr 11 13:57:58 CEST 2011 x86_64 GNU/Linux

I am using virt-manager to manage the virtual machines.

One of the vnet devices (which is the tap interfaces to the virtual machines)
work at a time. At the moment of writing it's vnet0 - but appears to be random.

I have tried all setups I can think off:
* Setup above.
* Turning eth1 off completely, bridging eth0 instead and using it from both
host and guest.
* Used eth0 for bridge and eth1 from host.

Consequently, only one of my virtual machines work.

Some googling have suggested it only appears on 64 bit system. Is that
true for everyone here?

Any other information I can provide to help shed some light on this? I
am completely stumped.

[Bug 754583] Re: UIFe: Launcher - update launcher reveal interaction to make it more accessible to first time users

2011-04-12 Thread Didier Roche
Hey Jason,

Just a small note on the impact on 1.:
We sent yesterday the .pot tempate file and processed the string freeze break
so that the translator can have some time to translate. So we need to keep that
in mind if we are going to rephrase (we already changed a lot of strings after
the freeze and I hope we are going to have a fully translated Unity in all
major language).

[Bug 746589] Re: Permission denied SystemError when launching

The reason some of the files are 640 is because they contain private
ppas. What do you use python-apt for in this context? Maybe we can find
a solution that works even with the permission problem.

[Bug 750451] Re: [te]Bugs in Telugu, Kannda rendering-regression on 11.04 beta1

2011-04-12 Thread Robert Ancell
The changes to pango should in quilt format, I've extracted the patch from the
bug and am attaching here.
Review of the patch:
- It is a large and complex change
- There are a number of unnecessary changes, e.g. whitespace or comments that
seem obsolete. This will make the patch an ongoing problem to apply
- Upstream has closed the bug as fixed and not allowed the patch to be applied
to trunk. I'm not sure what the reason for this is.

For the above reasons I can't tell how correct this patch is, and the
change seems to carry a lot of risk and has an ongoing maintenance
issue.

Arjuna, for this patch to be accepted I would want to see someone
experienced in Pango to review it and say it is safe/correct, and the
patch be as small as possible so it only contains the required changes.

[Bug 745801] Re: system-based authorization doesn't store useful credentials in gnome-keyring

2011-04-12 Thread Martin Pool
parser.write() sent to a stringio does seem to produce the right kind of
thing:

'[1]\nconsumer_key = System-wide: Ubuntu (myhostname)\nconsumer_secret =
\naccess_token = \naccess_secret =
uu\n\n'

Apparently the Python keyring module, or something it calls, assumes
passwords are a single line and it truncates them at the first \n: if I
immediately try to get it back then

keyring.get_password('launchpadlib', 'System-wide: Ubuntu
(grace)@https://api.launchpad.net/')
'[1]'

however a simple interactive use of the keyring module doesn't hit this:

In [4]: keyring.set_password('test', 'test', 'bite\nme')

In [5]: keyring.get_password('test', 'test')
Out[5]: 'bite\nme'

In [6]: print _5
bite
me

[Bug 757338] Re: hardy is currently uninstallable

2011-04-12 Thread Thorsten Glaser
Thanks but no, that is not a problem – we have a mirror that is nightly
updated using debmirror and do a PXE-driven network installation.

Adding a response file (d-i preseed) which enabled the restricted
repository works around the bug for me, but the problem is still there
(probably a bug in whatever part of the kernel depends on the
restricted-modules and nvidia-* stuff).

[Bug 741395] Re: unity-window-decorator crashed with SIGSEGV in g_slice_alloc()

2011-04-12 Thread Achim
I played a little bit around in CompizConfig SettingsManager. Turned on OpenGL,
3D Cube, 3d Windows, set some Hotkeys. After i lowered the icon-size of the
launcher from 48 to 32 - the launcher was gone. The Big Button didnt work,
Alt+F1/F2 were dead. So i decided to go back, take all my choises back. Started
with the 3D-Cube. Now ccsm startet to complain, that he has to take back this
in Unity Plugin, that in 3D-Windows, others in those plugin and so on. Allowed
the messages everything they asked for. After that the crash appeared.
Mouse moved, the report was uploaded but my keyboard didn't respond here in
Firefox. My desktop showed only firefox. No panel, no bar, nothing. But
Ctrl-Alt-Del worked so i got a clean restart. After restart my Desktop was
empty - nothing there. Ctrl-Atl-T didnt work. Okay, but right-click works so i
created a link to the terminal, reseted Unity with unity --reset.
Now everything is back and it works.
You see, i'm really testing natty ;)

[Bug 343870] Re: php-cli segmentation fault with mysql extension

2011-04-12 Thread Ambricka
As I've had a similar problem, I'll answer... However, I don't know when
I last had the problem, it might be totally useless.

ii libmysqlclient15off 5.1.30really5.0.83-0ubuntu3
   MySQL database client library
ii libmysqlclient165.1.49-1ubuntu8.1
   MySQL database client library

Now I just wonder why I have two different versions at the same time.

[Bug 89235] Re: can no longer jump words with CTRL-arrow in gnome-terminal

2011-04-12 Thread Yury V. Zaytsev
For me, readline misteriousely stopped processing /etc/inputrc after an
update on Hardy. This started to manifest like 1-2 weeks ago. I didn't
notice it straight away, so I can't tell which update was that.

I didn't have ~/.inputrc before and I didn't override /etc/inputrc. I
swear it used to work before without any manual intervention. How come
it suddenly stopped working? Any ideas?

Anyways, the include trick did the job for me. Thanks!

I re-assigned this to readline as apparently it has nothing to do with
bash per se. Maybe readline folks can chime in and explain what's going
on...

[Bug 758499] [NEW] Make stops indefinetly.
