[Bug 672171] Re: Can't click checkboxes in plugins section
I confirm the same behavior for netbeans 6.9 with Ubuntu 10.04. Also, I'm not able to uninstall CVS, Subversion or Mercurial plugins because uninstall option is not available. And if I try to deactivate any of these plugins, the IDE restart required resets the option and maintain it active. -- Can't click checkboxes in plugins section https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/672171 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Looks like we're all using amd64 and SSD. Maybe also ext4? Could this be related to this bug: https://bugs.edge.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/317781 (this was about losing files, but it's also about differences between ext3 and ext4, perhaps the combination of ext4 and SSD make gnome-settings-daemon startup too fast?) -- Not all desktop items are themed https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/625670 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 676859] [NEW] [ati radeon xpress 200M] vertical color lines on start-up
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-ati Since this occurs on my parents' laptop, I cannot run commands from here. I'll try to do that later. This happens on a vostro 1000 with ati radeon xpress 200M integrated graphics. I removed proprietary fglrx driver following instruction on Ubuntu community pages. Doing this, made bug #498586 dissappear, but another one appear. 1) The release of Ubuntu you are using Ubuntu 10.10 86_64 2) The version of the package you are using, via 'apt-cache policy packagename' or by checking in Synaptic. most recent 3) What you expected to happen normal boot 4) What happened instead when the system starts, a blinking cursor appears after which the login screen should appear. Instead, vertical color pixel lines appear all over the screen. This also happens while changing user in a running system. 5) Temporary 'workaround' Closing the lid of the laptop and re-opening it makes the lines dissappear and login screen shows up. This doesn't work when changing user in a running system, forced shut-down and reboot is neccessary. ** Affects: xserver-xorg-video-ati (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- [ati radeon xpress 200M] vertical color lines on start-up https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/676859 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 415353] Re: karmic/lucid installation slow on "detecting network hardware" with bnx2x
It is from a real system originally installed from the netboot installer. Also, it does eventually manage to load it, but it takes quite a while. I don't really know why that is. I'll try to get a look at the current lucid netboot images too, but that's slightly more tricky since I've run out of uninstalled blades in my bladecenter now. But a couple of them aren't quite in production yet, so maybe I'll manage to boot one of those. :) -- karmic/lucid installation slow on "detecting network hardware" with bnx2x https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/415353 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 415353] Re: karmic/lucid installation slow on "detecting network hardware" with bnx2x
Ah, that at least changes some of the assumptions (and places to look for). Cause the error message clearly say the bnx2x module gets loaded, then the kernel tries to load libcrc32c as well (because then bnx2x module uses a function from that) but fails. Assuming you used the netboot installer, I looked in its initrd and saw that module. But maybe there is something wrong on the installed system. Could you try a: gunzip -c /boot/initrd.img-$(uname -r)|cpio -t|egrep 'bnx2x|libcrc32' I am wondering whether the initramfs contains only the bnx2x module but not the libcrc32c one. And whether the network driver tries to initialize before the real root fs is mounted. But if both modules are missing, that would be a false lead. At least the boot seems to serialize on that module being loadable. Just not sure yet why. -- karmic/lucid installation slow on "detecting network hardware" with bnx2x https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/415353 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

If you could test the current Ubuntu stable release(maverick ubuntu 10.10), this would help us a lot. If you can test it, and it is still an issue, we would appreciate if you could upload updated logs by running apport-collect , and any other logs that are relevant for this particular issue. I see that the bug's status is new again and currently nobody is taking the bug, so I will be triaging this bug for you. ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided => Low ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- saa7134 kernel module, remote not working https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/311387 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 676876] [NEW] RhythmBox does not send TrackChanged signal on DBus.
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: rhythmbox Hello, I have a GTK-application that will make use of messages that RhythmBox sends to DBus. But when I select/click the _same song_ twise, RhythmBox does not send "TrackChanged" signal to the DBus. It only sends "Status Changed" signal with status PLAYING (from time time 0). When selecting a new song, or when clicking the same song once again , RhythmBox should first send "TrackChanged" signal, then "Status Changed" signal. When clicking the same song twise, external programs must now implement some weird logic to understand if the song simply stopped then continuing or if the song re-started from 0. I have some prototyping/test code attached here below. [Bug 175233] Re: Evolution hangs with "Formatting Message" after several hours
Hi, i've been experiencing the same issues this a week or two. I'm using Ub 10.04 since May 2010. Evolution 2.28.3 3 imap accounts, and 2 pop. Disabling "default sources" didn't solved the problem. I though about the large amount of emails i had, so did some clean up. Unsuccessful. Then disabled the portrait thing in the header (Preferences -> Email preferences -> Headers -> disable portrait (or photograph, i don't know the english term as i use a french version)). [Bug 154271] Re: xenU sending too big packets
Actually, on xenU, issuing the commands ethtool -K eth0 tx off ethtool -K eth0 tx on fixes the problem too, so changing the tx offloading back to on doesn't break it again. And the real problem here is that xenU keeps sending big packets even though it gets the fragmentation needed info. I don't have a tcpdump to copy-paste at hand right now, but for me it looked like this: xenU > target: length 2948 firewall > xenU: ICMP fragmentatinon needed xenU > destination: length 1480 target > xenU: ACK xenU > target: length 2948 firewall > xenU: ICMP fragmentatinon needed So xenU is sending too big packets over and over again, and firewall has to ask it to fragment them each time.
