Hello, the bug exists in every Ubuntu/Debian/Upstream version (6.7.dfsg-1ubuntu0.1, 6.9~dfsg-1ubuntu3, 6.9.5~dfsg-4, 7.0 development branch, etc). It was probably introduced with the first version of the GeoIP-plugin (which was yonks ago) and is living happily since then. ** Changed in: awstats (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete => New -- Syntax error in geoip plugins https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/673919 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

GNOME and Ubuntu are translated by volunteers, so the fact that translations were submitted outside the deadline most probably simply means that they had other obligations and couldn't make it for that day. > How can we fix this earlier? If this > happens again and we take the finished translation from upstream and > upload it on Launchpad the updated package will be released earlier? > Or how else can we help? > There are many ways in which you can help: * Translations. Help the Czech team with translations, so that they can be finished earlier. * Get upstream translations. Upload the upstream translation manually as explained in the previous messages, so that they are available in the next language pack * Testing. Before they are released to the majority of users, help testing the Czech language pack [1]. The start of the testing period will be announced on the translators mailing list [2]. As mentioned earlier as well, the schedule for language packs is being redeveloped [3], so I cannot tell you exactly when the next Maverick language pack will be released, other than "soon". If you'd also like to contribute on that, please have a look at the specification and get in touch with me to find out in what you can help. In summary, if you are willing to contribute, just get in touch in whichever way you prefer with the translations team [2], or feel free to contact me directly. Thanks! [Bug 299869] Re: [intrepid] quanta suggest install cervisia that is already installed
That doesn't seem to work for me For Cervisia: in Quanta + 3.5.10 on Ubuntu 10.10 with Cervisia 3.5.0, and in Settings/Configure Plugins... I have tried setting location to /usr/lib/kde4 and file name to cervisiapart.so and I've tried setting location to nothing and file name to /usr/lib/kde4/cervisiapart.so. Both modules cervisiapart.so and cervisiapart.la are in the specified subdirectory and Cervisia is listed as installed by the package manager on my system. But I still get the "the file cervisiapart.so is not installed or it is not reachable" The owner of the so (and la) module is set to root and the flags to 644. Pretty much the same for Konsole except there is not "la" module in /usr/lib/kde4. None of the moduels cervisiapart.so/la nor libkonsolepart.so exist in /usr/lib/kde3. It just appears that Quanta + doesn't like the kde4 versions or either la or so modules. ** Attachment added: "Quanta+ plugin settings for Cervisia" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/kdewebdev/+bug/299869/+attachment/1734300/+files/CervisiaSettingsScreen.png -- [intrepid] quanta suggest install cervisia that is already installed https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/299869 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to kdewebdev in ubuntu. -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list kubuntu-b...@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs

[Bug 538256] Re: Screen brightness not controllable on Lenovo Ideapad S10-3, U350, and Z360
The bug also affects Lenovo Ideapad U150. On this laptop, the brightness buttons work, the brightness applet notification pops up to show current brightness level and the respective files in /sys and /proc folders are updated with the brightness value, but the display brightness level stays at maximum value. Hi Chuck, As suggested, I've tried to add '-vvv' directly in the upstart job. now it looks like : exec /usr/sbin/in.tftpd -vvv --listen --user ${TFTP_USERNAME} --address ${TFTP_ADDRESS} ${TFTP_OPTIONS} ${TFTP_DIRECTORY} then: sudo service tftpd-hpa stop sudo service tftpd-hpa start but still the same issue :( My guess is that it has nothing to do with upstart as if I launch tftpd-hpa manually with foreground option (/usr/sbin/in.tftpd -vvv --foreground --user tftp --address 172.31.20.5:69 --secure -vvv -m /srv/tftp/remap /srv/tftp/fai) I don't get any log output too. -- unable to get logs either in daemon nor foreground https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/674417 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 675576] [NEW] grab-attachments doesn't work with private bugs anymore
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: ubuntu-dev-tools This appears to be a regression. I work alot on the OEM side and have to deal with private bugs almost exclusively. [Bug 656631] Re: resume from suspend does not initialize the display on 2.6.35 kernel
It looks like I may have a fix/workaround that works for me, from this forum thread: http://ubuntuforums.org/showpost.php?p=10100625&postcount=75 Basically, I add my wireless module ID to SUSPEND_MODULES in /etc/pm/config.d/unload_module. Not only does this seemed to have made my suspend/resume blank screen hangs disappear, but I've also noticed reconnecting to wifi networks, or connecting to a new one upon resume to be much faster (read above forum post for more details). I should state that I barely understand what this is doing or why I'm doing it, but it was a suggestion that I've tried and it seems to work! I hope this somehow moves this issue along to a more final resolution. Here's the basic commands I've used to apply this workaround... $ lspci | grep Wireless 03:00.0 Network controller: Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd. [Bug 675585] [NEW] [Realtek ALC1200] No sound thru speakers (hdmi); sound only thru headphone jack
Public bug reported: I have no sound in my system. When I connect headphones to the headphone jack, I get sound (thru headphones). But I want sound through the speakers (inbuilt in moniter - HP2228h) connected by a hdmi cable. Works well under Windows. So no hardware problems. Recently installed Ubuntu 10.10. Was with Fedora 12 before. Under Fedora 12, I downloaded the latest alsa driver, changed the file 'patch_nvhdmi.c', to include the following two lines at the appropriate place. { .id = 0x10de06e0, .name = "My HDMI", .patch = patch_nvhdmi }, MODULE_ALIAS("snd-hda-codec-id:10de06e0"); And I got sound through speakers. With Ubuntu I tried the same trick, but then aplay -l did not show any sound devices (and I had to reinstall the entire Ubuntu system; didn't know how to roll back). Please somebody help me. [Bug 675587] Re: Please remove and blacklist pyxpcom from the archive
Just to be clear - the Debian package installs a binary component directly in to /usr/lib/xulrunner/components. On Ubuntu, this is a volatile directory, as it has a version number in it which changes between minor versions. This would mean we'd have to do a pyxpcom update every time we rolled out a Firefox security update. In general, dropping random binaries in to the application directory is bad, and is strongly discouraged by Mozilla (this is why we have a components.list, to prevent these binaries from being loaded at run time and to discourage vendors from doing exactly this type of thing). The only correct way to distribute the binary component provided by pyxpcom is to bundle it as an extension. -- Please remove and blacklist pyxpcom from the archive https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/675587 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 600782] Re: fatal error on startup - "ramzswap: Unknown parameter `disksize_kb'"
Hi, I've the same problem on startup of my ubuntu 10.04, the message is: FATAL: Error inserting ramzswap (/lib/modules/2.6.35-22-generic-pae/kernel/drivers/staging/ramzswap/ramzswap.ko):Unknown symbol in module, or unknown parameter (see dmesg) And in dmesg i can see: ramzswap: module is from the staging directory, the quality is unknown, you have been warned. ramzswap: Unknown parameter `disksize_kb' The message comes from when I installed the kernel 2.6.35-22.34 from Lucid PPA. I had to install this kernel version because the 2.6.32 kernel does not recognize the entire hardware of my laptop. Does anyone know how to fix it or, where applicable, disable compcache/ramzswap?
