[Bug 673066] Re: Upgrade to 0.7.5
Thank you for proposing this. Could you please fix/explain the following issues: debian/changelog: * There are multiple versions in the changelog that have not been uploaded to the archive, please collapse into one entry. * The version scheme is incorrect, we use UPSTREAM-0ubuntuX when we update ahead of Debian. debian/rules: * I see you're removing targets from the debian/rules file, are we permanently forking from Debian? debian/control: * I see you also modified the formatting of Build-Depends in debian/control, this shouldn't be done unless we are forking from Debian to keep the diff to a minimum. * libgirepository1.0-dev should be noted as a build dependency instead of just a dependency By the way, could you please propose a bzr merge from and into lp:ubuntu/librest or provide a debdiff? ** Changed in: librest (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete ** Changed in: librest (Ubuntu) Assignee: (unassigned) => Rodrigo Moya (rodrigo-moya) -- Upgrade to 0.7.5 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/673066 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 673066] Re: Upgrade to 0.7.5
I just noticed that the libgirepository1.0-dev comment I made should have been with the changelog comments, not the d/control comment. [Bug 639734] Re: Pressing buttons on quanta hardware is very hard and imprecise
Sure, education comes first! No, the mouse up issue is not solved yet, but I was on a fair one month ago and I realized, that touchscreens running under windows behave exactly the same way: when you touch the screen, it emulates a single-click, which means touching is same as left-click and moving... annoying. The far better solution would be to distinguish between soft approach = mouse-move and hard-touch = click that way you could move around the cursor without marking any icons or text etc... I also have the impression, that the sensitivity has gotten better... when using the clip controls or to snap the window edges for resize is better... Regarding my improval for the UI: I bought an android phone, and there within the phonebook there is on the right screen side 0-9A-Z from top to the bottom. When you move above them, the current letter is displayed in a huge manner in the middle of the screen so you always know, what's underneath your fingers I think, that's worth implementing in ubuntu... Regarding the X-start problem: No, I have not yet tried to reconfigure the server... it simply append after the upgrade. [Bug 532506] Re: Can't set ethernet MTU from GUI
>From looking at gnome-nettool 2.31.6 in the the maverick release, the expectation of being able to edit the MTU information in place appears to me to be "unreasonable or overly optimistic". The "Configure" button next to the chosen interface correctly brings up the Network Manager configuration tool for me, where the MTU and other settings can be changed. In contrast, gnome-nettool is designed only for viewing network-related information. So I don't see this as an issue of missing functionality. No other settings can be configured in the interface information area, and the information text gives no visual indication of being editable, so I don't see this as an interface design / UX issue either. ** Tags added: karmic -- Can't set ethernet MTU from GUI https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/532506 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 674837] Re: mythtv 0.24 frontend does not find videos in the media library
Well, you are right. As a long time user of mythtv, I think the setup is becoming more and more confusing, and naming of things are not lending themselves for some intuitive approach. With mythvideo I now learned than I had to press M and select a scan. Than I had my videos. Makes me wonder: why does a backend a scan at its start and finds all the videos automatically, and stores them automatically, and when I use mythvideo, I still need to tell it manually to do the same thing that had already been done? -- mythtv 0.24 frontend does not find videos in the media library https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/674837 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 604180] Re: gksu and sudo broken in guest session
That depends what you mean by "skip." Obviously, gksu should not allow the program given by its parameter to be executed if the user is guest; if it did, that would be a huge security hole. The correct solution is to mirror the behavior of sudo in a similar situation: if he has no password, display a message that the user lacks sufficient privileges. -- gksu and sudo broken in guest session https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/604180 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
