I've added a check in main.c to switch between the 2D and 3D launcher in main.c, I didn't noticed the old one. This is based on the "Software Rasterizer". [Bug 532286] Re: Samba: remote Win XP and Mac OS X machines can no longer mount shares
Looks like a networking issue more than a samba issue... as samba is probably not involved in deciding to ACK a specific SYN packet or not. One difference between your Windows XP and your Linux hosts is the IP address (192.168.1.64 in one case, 128.83.133.100 in the other): are both of those networks routable from 216.110.51.120 ? If yes, could you place a Linux system in that 192.168.1.0/24 network and reproduce the trace ? AFAICT it looks like the Lucid server TCP queue considers the 192.168.1.64 packet a martian and just discards it. Anything in your kernel logs ? Do other TCP-based services on that Lucid host succeed in talking with the Windows XP host ? ** Changed in: samba (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided => Medium ** Changed in: samba (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- Samba: remote Win XP and Mac OS X machines can no longer mount shares https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/532286 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 288807] Re: [i815] Wrong resolution on Vaio PCG-SRX51, PCG-SRX41 and PCG-FX370 due to incorrect h/v rates
With Lucid Alpha 3 things have got worse. Xorg crashes each time the LiveCD "ubuntu" user tries to log-in, resulting in the user returning to the standard GDM log-in screen. Manual attempts to log-in result in the same Xorg crash and restart of GDM. There appear to be a lot of similar reports for installed alpha-3 too (#532183, #532173, #532047 ...). Additionally, the tty consoles become invisible when doing a Ctrl+Alt+F1-F6 switch. The user can type blindly but sees nothing. Using this 'facility' I was able to do "sudo apt-get update && sudo apt- get install openssh-server" and subsequently connect to the SRX51 from another PC using SSH (after a blind "sudo passwd ubuntu"). I pulled the contents of /var/log/ as a tgz archive and the ubuntu ".xsession-errors" log. [Bug 531997] Re: netbook-launcher desktop menu and icons don't always work
I tried Lucid Alpha3 and the netbook-launcher issue is fixed. The release is completely unusable, however, as EVERYTHING except netbook- launcher flashes white several times a second (weird random-seeming blinking). The netbook-launcher displays perfectly, no dead areas, nothing. The flashing is a different bug, for a different report (but what to file it against? there doesn't appear to be a bug filed already). Would you happen to know if the original bug is indeed with the launcher? Or is it xorg? [Bug 532320] Re: falha na busca
Thank you for using Ubuntu and taking the time to report a bug. Your report should contain, at a minimum, the following information so we can better find the source of the bug and work to resolve it. Submitting the bug about the proper source package is essential. For help see https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/FindRightPackage . Additionally, in the report please include: 1) The release of Ubuntu you are using, via 'cat /etc/lsb-release' or System -> About Ubuntu. 2) The version of the package you are using, via 'dpkg -l PKGNAME | cat' or by checking in Synaptic. 3) What happened and what you expected to happen. The Ubuntu community has also created debugging procedures for a wide variety of packages at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingProcedures . Following the debugging instructions for the affected package will make your bug report much more complete. [Bug 532482] [NEW] non-ascii escape commands don't seem to wor
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: screen The escape command I was using with latin-1 don't with utf-8 locale: $ screen -U -e '§½' Two characters are required with -e option, not '§½'. (That's the section sign followed by the one-half sign, both on the key below ESC on my fi keyboard) This is one of the last external utf-8 blocking problems for me. Unfortunately you even don't specify which version was so completely broken. [Bug 318286] Re: Network manager forgets WPA Personal hidden network
I have a similar problem which is that network manager tends to forget the wireless password sometimes. Here is what happens: 1. I am connected 2. I suddenly loose connection 3. When I try to reconnect network manager does not react to my click on the network name, that is, it does not even try to connect it simply shows no reaction and no cycling green or grey bubbles. 4. When I go to edit connection and click on wireless my wireless ap is unter last used: "Never" even though I was just connected. 5. I have to click edit, enter the system password (or is it for the keyring?!?) and then go to security and reenter the password, i notice that the password field is empty when the dialoge opens. 6. Sometimes I have to repeat steps 3-5 (suspending/resuming helps sometimes if it wasnt successful after several tries through 3-5) 7. I can connect now. This happens serveral times a week. Analogous to being connected and loosing the connection I sometimes also resume from standby to find that i can not connect, here also steps 3-5 are the same. While the above steps show a workaround this is quite annoying as everyone can see, especially if you quickly need connectivity. -- Network manager forgets WPA Personal hidden network https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/318286 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
