Using firefox-3.5 since 3.0 is not receiving any updates other than security updates. I forgot 3.5 was not in Hardy repos so it will not get a fix for this. Closing this bug since only reporter shows this bug. Stavros: I can recreate the bug so I am marking it confirmed.You should still post the required information listed in my previous post. The bug is reproducible by opening a streaming file (such as music or a video) on a samba share then attempting to unmount the share while the file is still open. I had to right-click on the share icon found on the desktop and click 'unmount' 2 or 3 times and the error message appeared after 60-120 seconds. The error message is simply saying "we attempted to unmount but the server is not allowing us to close the connection". My personal solution would be to find the thread holding the file open and terminate it but that could have many unintended consequences if this process were automated. Thanks for reporting this bug and any supporting documentation. Since this bug has enough information provided for a developer to begin work, I'm going to mark it as confirmed and let them handle it from here. This bug makes my computer completely unusable. can those scripts be pushed thru with an update? I'm seeing a similar thing here. I think something I noted is that this happens only when I'm on a relatively weak signal. Apparently PIL saves PGM internally as PPM unless you convert the image
to grayscale first. Add proper check for format to fix the issue
(perhaps to imtools save?).
Here's a test case I used to verify this behavior:

Hello, thx all for the update, it solves the issue of suspend/resume cycle with b43 too. I was forced to manually rmmod/modprobe the b43 module if I wanted to suspend/resume my mac. Somehow I still need to do it, because AFTER a resume the b43 module, even if loaded (lsmod) is not working. I need to manually unload and reload b43 to have the wifi waked up. As well as being a security problem, I only noticed this when a PPA required a higher version of a package than was installed for that version, which confused me. I'd suggest that when exiting synaptic, the user should be warned if security updates are disabled. This could perhaps also be a balloon produced when update manager checks?
